Josh Reed - Possible FA WR signing

Long story short: Word on the street is the Panthers are discussing contract details with former Bills WR Josh Reed. Personally I don't know much about him, so at the moment I'm not really against this.

Yep, with his 4 career punt returns for 7 yards he's a lock for that role. (Google is your friend).

He's a number 3 who can provide 4-500 yards even with the junk that Buffalo have had at QB.

Tolbert was the coach there. If we sign him I'm sure its because of his recommendation. Fine by me. Any signing right now wouldn't hurt. You can always cut him later if you get a guy or 2 in the draft.

Interesting move if it's true, because Reed's biggest value is in the slot... but we've already got a guy interested in that position.

hes a solid receiver. and if we do sign him i think hes good enough to replace Moose. of course we still need a #2. our #3 will be sharing time w/ #4 anyway. Anyone notice we go wide 4 more often w/ Moore??? (maybe 2 times, but still more)

He is 5' 10', 210 lbs which is decent size. He also ran a 4.54 40 yard dash coming out of college which isn't bad either. Not exactly a Steve Smith 4.38 time but certainly faster than Moose or Jarrett at this point.

I won't believe anything especially on April Fools day until it is a done deal.

If he is signed, that is it for WRs in FA for the Panthers. He is a #3 at best, so that means Jarrett has to step it up this year.

I still don't see the harm in bringing back Moose, especially if he will take a 1 year deal.
