I realize we don't have the cap space to sign big Al, but supposedly he said Carolina was one of the 3 teams he would prefer to sign with. TN, Car and Atl.

We could use him more in Houston...Mario Williams and Fat Albert would be unstoppable. We finally have a lot of money under the cap but I don't think we will be going after Haynesworth. It sounds like Albert wants to play close to home so he might rule Houston out.

Sign him and run the 3-4 defense. Johnson-Haynesworth-Peppers on the line. Davis-Beason-Seward(or another LB)-Diggs. That would free Thomas Davis up for some pass rushes and he could turn into a Joey Porter-style linebacker.

Get rid of Ken Lucas though. Smitty should hit him again from the way he's been playing lately.

I dont think Fox would run a 3-4, no way Turdo is smart enough to scheme for that type of defense. I however would love to see it.

If they could sign Haynesworth and Peppers our D-line would be dominant. I'd be willing to lose Gross for that combination. They could slide Wharton back to LT, or try Otah out over there (assuming he continues to progress as a pass blocker).

Peppers isn't a 3-4 style DE.

You're right. Also, Haynesworth is a far better fit in a 4-3 scheme.

Neither can Johnson for that matter.

We are a 4-3 and always will be until we have a few terrible seasons and Foxy is fired.
