Stroud was salty panthers didn't draft him

Recommended Posts

Saw that on ig, commented I was too, some Bryce boy loser started bombarding me with comments with the typical ignorant rhetoric and every time I responded with a rational, respectful conversation he just got more and more unhinged til he started stalking my profile and making personal attacks when he realized he was completely outclassed lol

I really don’t understand why it bothers some that the Texans more than likely had Young over Stroud. There is a lot that points to it like Ryans still not saying who their top QB was after he got Stroud, he just said “we had Young and Stroud ranked high.” You have players celebrating that win that dropped them to 2… I mean if Stroud was QB1 to them they win didn’t matter right? You have a former reporter for Houston saying he thinks they would have picked Young if they had the top pick. Again it’s all for nothing as they lucked out and landed Stroud. If they had a big gap between the two they would have jumped up to secure their guy no matter who they “thought” we were going to draft. Thats too big of a risk to take if Stroud was their guy all along.

If you took away the arrests stuff, I think a good case could be made for von being the better pick.....he's still here and making plays while Cam is playing dress up while smoking cigars on ........(checks mathz) the 83,982,057,195,602 podcast...

You can’t honestly believe we even sniff the playoffs much less the Super Bowl with Von Miller instead of Cam with that coaching group and QB situation we had. I’ll take Cam and Luke the next year over Von and Luck or whoever we could have gotten the next year any day.

you don't know for sure if the Texans were not just trying to make the Panthers think one way & then turn around & do the opposite...just saying

Talks about a situation during the panthers game where there was trash talk. Apparently Franklin shouted some things at him after a TD and his teammate responded to franklin and roasted his teeth.

I guess he did want that game pretty badly which they ended up losing but I always thought it was dumb to think he didn't take it to heart when we passed him up but a lot of people did for some reason

Stroud has been hinting at it for a while.

if the texans wanted young they would have young.  the bears would have easily traded to 2 then again with either the panthers or indy and probably gotten more of that haul then even what we offered.  The bears knew they could move back again easily if they dropped to 2.  The texans played the game and won and we didnt

The Bears wanted too much for them to move up one spot. That’s why they were trying to do the three way trade. There is always a limit as to how much teams want or prefer one player. As Ryans said both players were still closely enough ranked so they didn’t think it was worth it to move up. People are just using hindsight to dismiss all the pretty obvious signs already mentioned. Like I said it doesn’t matter or affect us in anyway but they lucked into Stroud a little.

The Texans were in the 3 way trade and saw all they needed to sit tight. And then trade up to #3.

If they did love Bryce then they dodged a bullet but it sure looks like a smokescreen.

Oh man does this sound familiar.

Gives new meaning to the term unhinged.

Its a lot of panthers fans like that lately, i have gotten into with some on twitter and its gets to the point where it becomes personal and i dont have time for that. Im older and im noticing a lot of these fans that are active on social media especially twitter are on the younger side and dont speak with hardly any kind of rationality much less know anything about football. I just saw video youtube the other day where this guy was claiming bryce was a top 4 QB in the league..... no BS. Also a lot of them are roasting stroud for this and claiming bryce is still the better player all because we beat the texans for 1 of our 2 wins last season. Drafting bryce has really divided the fanbase worst the cam ever did because atleast Cam showed right out the gate he was a way superior NFL talent.

The newer fans and younger fans that cape for the worst win % in professional sports must not have been around for the better years in Panthers history. We've always been largely mediocre but the high points were another universe compared to this. The justification for lowering standards within this fanbase is the definition of the "just happy to be here" mentality that was often prevalent within the culture of this franchise before Cam came along and got attacked repeatedly for being a sore loser. Fug man give me all your sore losers those are the guys I want on my Panthers!
