there are 13 and even most of those are still physically cutoff from the city by highways. (see pittsburgh) Plus, charlotte has a very diverse population and many transplants. we aren't a city based on tourism or entertainment. you want to believe it's the same but it aint.

Right, because no other city with a pro sports team is diverse and has many transplants. Charlotte is the only one🙄

If this tourism tax is a state fund, it's still a huge waste of money. There are 99 other counties in NC that want part of that money to draw tourism to them too. They won't get it if the state is giving that money to Tepper.

It’s a city only fund. The state just mandates that cities use that tax money on tourism related projects.

BoA has one of the worst concessions in any arena I've ever been to - both quality and price. I hope they upgrade that. I don't understand not bringing in a bunch of food trucks to help and charging them a percentage or something...there should be a different food option at every concourse. Not a 20 minute line for some of the worst hot dogs, pizza, or old chicken strips you'll find anywhere

...Aside from the ticket I never spent a dime in the stadium....ate good at tailgate before going in and my handy dandy whiskey belt took care of the beverage part. I haven't attended a game since azzhole took over the team...

la - tourism

san fran - tourism and not close to center city

houston - far from center city

nyc - you mean new jersey and it's cutoff

chicago - just outside of center city not near businesses. plus tourism.

miami - not center city and tourism

tampa - in the burbs next to highway

atl - this is close to our situation but atl gets a lot of tourism

dc - not at all like us besides transplants

seattle - close but i still say they get a decent amount of tourism due to pacNW location

phoenix - might as well be in a desert.

Here's a chart of NFL teams. If you count the NBA and MLB, it gets a lot more crowded since some of those arenas/ballparks/stadiums are a lot older.

And here's a bit more general information for you, all cities have a diverse population and a poo ton of transplants.

The one thing Tepper should copy from the Falxons is Blanks insistence on having affordable food/bev as an option.

You want a bucket of popcorn? $2

Small bottle of water? $1

Cheap crap beer? $5

Nachos? $3

(We'll make enough $ from those who want the good stuff that the few cheap prices won't hurt the bottom line)

I support this concept. Of course a large contingent of the fanbase will continue to get hammered during pregame tailgating, thereby totally negating the need to purchase said cheap beer.
