After "humbling" second season, Ikem Ekwonu ready to take advantage of a new offense

Well, because Bryce didn’t just say I didn’t throw with my WRs.  Bryce made the point of having nothing to do with football overall.   Then went in about being a loner and being alone. So it’s more than just not working out with his teammates.  It’s a lost offseason to build leadership and being the dude.

CJ Stroud is checking multiple boxes with his actions.  Based on what Bryce said….its a 180 from what you generally would like to see and hear.

.

There are clips of Bryce and ISM working out together. So he wasn’t completely isolated it but wasn’t really advertised because he wasn’t that great of a player last year. I think you are just taking that quote from his interview and running wild with it. He was giving a generic basic answer and didn’t really put much detail in it. I’m not sure if the ISM thing was lumped into morning workouts or he just didn’t mention it…

Well, then that’s on the Panther PR machine.  All I got is Bryce with a horrible answer to a question.  Taking his word.  And if I recall, it was the Panthers media that put that Bryce interview/question out there to begin with.  That was really our first back to Bryce piece.  And maybe it was just that.  A bad answer that didn’t paint a good picture.

If there is one reprieve I will give icky, the dude has a turnstile rotation of guards next to him the entire year that forced him to have to worry about inside and outside rushers

You can’t even give him that. Yes, it helps to have a G who’s good so that the QB doesn’t run straight into the edge rusher and make Iky’s job easier but Iky was terrible just blocking the guy he was supposed to block. We saw that early in preseason. He couldn’t even block (heck even touch sometimes) the one edge guy who was his assignment and that was in preseason game 1. While the preseason doesn’t matter folks were laying out the excuses, it was obvious in preseason that Iky was going to have a bad season and our OL was not good.
