CBS does not think Bryce makes the leap

Yeah, I'd take the guy who had a great rookie season over anyone who has never taken an NFL snap yet.

What's funny is the experts were saying they would take the qbs in this year's draft over all the ones from last year around draft time. Lol

He literally just said last week he's not motivated by negativity/chip on his shoulder type stuff. I don't know why you would say that if you didn't mean it because most great players relish in that type of thing and aren't afraid to admit it

He also said he didn't like the yelling style of coaching from the last staff and likes how Canales is more led back soft spoken when coaching....I mean i don't know what to think about this kid anymore.

Yeah I'm curious as to when we'll see some type of urgency out of him or his coaches. They're doing a really good job of hiding OTA's from the media for whatever reason

It would be nice to see #9 prove people like this laughably wrong.

That's why many Panthers fans myself included were wanting to see how much time he'd dedicated to his craft following the conclusion of the season but then he showed up and let everyone know he pretty much crawled under a rock. Somehow the Panthers social team thought this was rather amusing after what we'd sacrificed for the rights to draft him. Baffling lack of awareness all around.

It's interesting that we go from Levis being least desirable of the class and a complete and total meathead that would alienate himself from his teammates to being talked up as possibly emerging as one of the better young QB's entering the 2024 season.

Man what a whirlwind the last 12 months have been for the people who fully bought the hype machine in the lead up to the 2023 NFL draft and did victory laps like they had their very own sports almanac from BTTF.

Life comes at you fast

yeah I was hoping  that we stayed put & drafted Levis at #9

i even said on here after we foolishly traded up for Bryce Young that I would not be surprised whatsoever if the Bears were picking #1 overall with our pick this year

but what ...just saying

He hasn’t even made it to training camp yet.

beck has a hose but not really sure he's the guy. gonna need a huge year this year.

He had some incredible games last year for sure and his throwing style and mechanics resemble Stroud but I just need to see him do it again.  One year sample size isn't enough

In addition to that he has us going QB in next years draft

Most early mocks had us projected as top 5 and going QB. I tend to agree. I think we will be in that cycle for at least 6 more seasons.

Life comes at you fast folks.

My order for the draft was this:

1. Stroud

2. Levis

3. Richardson

4. DTR

5. Bryce

The top three are three rounds better than DTR or Bryce. Just because someone else would’ve taken Bryce if we hadn’t doesn’t make them right either.

I’ve also seen people comparing Bryce and Caleb Williams but Williams has something Bryce doesn’t, and that is speed, belief, swagger, and arm strength. I think Williams, Daniels, Maye, and Nix all have the chance to be better than everyone from 2023, including Stroud. Maybe not this year, but in their career.

Now 2025 is a QB Desert unless you want someone like Cam Ward or Carson Beck, neither of which are ideal.

I know I’d draft Joey Aguilar later in the draft. Dude has an NFL arm and RG3 confirmed as much after watching him throw in the monsoon that was the Cure Bowl.

Stuff like this is said every year. Dudes rise.

While that’s true, there are still years with better prospects. No player is guaranteed and you get Lance/Purdy stuff occasionally, but everyone said the 2022 QBs were lackluster and they were and that 2023 was better and it was even with AR’s injury and Bryce’s bomb. Same with 2024, no clue if Williams will be successful or not, but it was a way better QB class than 2022. 2024 vs 2023 was closer and both look to be better than 2025 so far. We don’t know who may step up but there are clear better prospect classes and clear worse prospect classes.

There are dozens of guys saying he will step up and dozens saying he won't.  The media on all levels is nothing but hot takes and click chasers these days.  There is no way to know who is being truthful anymore or even qualified to makes these claims.  Watch the team's actions - listen to what the coaches and owner says - that is the only information that will help see the truth at times.  Media doesn't report anymore - just pushes narratives.

For instance:

We spent a ton of money on 2 of the best Guards available, we cut our starting Center at great expense, we traded for a WR, we spent 3 of our top 4 draft picks on offensive weapons, spent time so far at OTA's working on Bryce's footwork, and our coaches and owner have all expressed 100% support for our QB while stating a gameplan to play to his STRENGTHS

We DIDN'T upgrade our backup QB, draft a mid to late round QB, trade for or sign R or Z Wilson, Tannehill, Fields, Jones, Darnold, or Garoppolo

These are all FACTS - not media statements or opinions - and these facts point to our coaching staff, who are more qualified than any Media outlet, believe Bryce is capable of moving forward.  If you want to know what to believe, that is the most reliable information available.  Not these Media takes.
