We won't suck, but we also won't be what could have been...only if for one season. We went from Super Bowl contenders before SOME of these vets were cut (not all the cuts/no re-signs were bad), to possibly just making the playoffs. It's a step backwards. Again the payoff form the youth movement is likely more than a year away. The crappy part is not knowing if there will be play in 2011. If so, its like buying a fruit tree, typically you have to wait a few years before you reap the benefits.

You can call it whining, I call it refuting the constant efforts to ignore the obvious and blindly believe everything is going to be alright. While the sky isn't falling yet, the rose colored glasses folks are just as ridiculous.

As for you, it is funny how you preached for months about Peppers coming back and when he didn't could bitch and moane, but now castigate others who bitch about Hoover. Pot meet kettle.

If you look at posts like mine you will see that I am not focusing on one player since frankly no one is indispensible simply the overall strategy of replacing so many starters which I think will backfire. And frankly I hope I am wrong and Hurney pulls some awesome rabbits out of his hat. But as long as people are making threads saying everything is great and we are better off than we were last year based on who is on the team now, I will continue to post and suggest that is ridiculous. We may be better by September but as of April 1st, we are a shell of the team that finished 4-1 in 2009 with Moore.

FWIW, Hoover had the best career short yardage coversion rate of ANY back in the NFL. Thought I might share that tidbit with you.

That isn't saying much if the rate is based on something like 6 conversions out of 7...

First off, it was no secret I changed my name or what I changed it to... I was keeping a promise I had made...

Secondly, I never threatened to quit the site... I made a satirical "So long" post based on the ramblings of a dude that flew a plane into a building...

Thirdly, I never bitch and moan this long about the Panthers' decisions... I accept decisions once they are made and don't dwell on what I thought should have happened (like you and others here are doing)...
