Hoover: Panthers in 'opportunity to fail'

Fiammetta was hurt

does anyone pay attention or do we just like to randomly spout opinions as fact?

Games that Hoover didn't play-

DAL-Fiammetta played, did not start

BUF- Fiammetta started

NO- Fiammetta did not play

ATL- Fiammetta started

MIA- Fiammetta played, did not start

Fiammetta got hurt near the end of the season, and Hoover played the rest of the games.

I think its sad you missed the point.

No, I completely got the point. You said that you don't understand keeping aging players to mentor younger guys. This, in response to my questioning why the organization would not honor the final year on Hoover's contract, at the very least to metor the younger guys. And no, it's not a numbers game to keep one more body, (from a team that burned a roster spot for a KO specialist last season) especially at an element that is the essence of our offense...the running game. No, I think I got your point perfectly.

Said team let the KO specialist go too. With all the questions at DE and WR why use a spot on a "mentor"

The KO specialist was due to make over a million next season. It's no secret that JR is looking for fiscal responsibility with the lockout looming. He'd look hypocritical for hanging on to Lloyd--a million dollar guy that might see the field 4 or 5 plays a game.

As for the WR and DE scenario, that's only a couple of spots and DE may only have one addition for depth. You make it sound as if the 54 man roster is darn near set and the team is making cuts to get under the limit.

It's obvious we are not going to agree on this one, so I'm ready to leave it alone....
