Caleb Williams is struggling big time in OTAs

The way they have been acting makes me think they deserve that outcome. They should have celebrated the hell out of the free pick for sure but what they have done since the draft just looks like they learned nothing from their team history or what Carolina went through last year.

I just wonder how long it takes them from enshrining him in Canton to calling him Ryan Leaf if he struggles early?

Is he more talented than Fields? I honestly don't think so and they couldn't make that work either.

I felt like Fields was ready to breakout.  He has all the tools to be successful in NFL but they got rid of him for basically nothing and got rookie on a team that ready to compete now.

1 really bad game that shows any limitations because what they have already built him up as a HoF lock.

I don't think so. Not just talent either, their personalities will probibly limit their NFL careers regardless of physical talent.

USC QBs miss more than they hit. So I would not be surprised if he busted.
If we had of had our 1st overall pick I would have been hitting the drum for anyone but him.
Like Alabama I don’t trust USC QBs.
Williams is gonna throw a ton of interceptions I have a feeling.

No way he's rushing for 1100 yards and 8 td's like Fields on that 2022 team. If we're talking physical talent

Yep not sure why we didn’t trade a 6th for him seeing it looks like Bryce is not going to work out

I said it before but if it was me I would have kept fields one more year and traded out of the 1 spot.  They could have gotten another kings ransom and if he sucks they could make a move.  Fields isnt that bad but just needs better coaching and a better offense

There was stuff trashing Fields’ attitude recently. May be Chicago damage control propaganda, I don’t really follow them. But DJ seemed to get on the soapbox for him so how bad was it really?

I'm really trying to give a fug....

Nope...that's  a lie.

I simply Don't give a fug about the bears, Caleb, or the fact we traded with them over a year ago.  All water under the bridge.

With that being said, Caleb is a punk ass rookie, that is in his first OTA in the NFL.  It really doesn't matter how he looks. He's suppose to be learning the system.

Caleb Willams has all the physical talent in the world, but I think he has a good chance at being a bust just solely because of his attitude and unprofessional demeanor. He seems like such an arrogant guy who's gonna get a total reality shock when he plays against really good NFL defense where he can't just win with physical traits. He's still gonna make some wow plays because he just so gifted with his arm but his lack of ability to play within structure and win from the pocket is gonna lose the bears a lot of games this year but he's gonna have some awesome highlight throws no doubt.

Him sucking sure would take the sting out of us gifting him to Chicago

I hope Williams is a bust and Bryce gets better this year. The get back Panther fans will put on Chicago will be legendary.

No cause for alarm yet.

But a lot of folks called me a hater for questioning how well Williams would translate to the NFL. He holds the ball forever and has way too much of a tendency to try to turn every play into a scramble drill. He doesn't play well within structure.

If he can evolve he has all the tools to be great. But if he doesn't evolve he's going to be a massive bust. The USC version of Caleb Williams is a bust. You have to draft him with the plan of rebuilding him. Drafting him and immediately announcing him as your savior and unquestioned day one starter isn't off to a good start. You're just feeding the ego that's already concerning and not letting this kid know that there's a LOT of work lying ahead.

100%. They should've signed a vet like Tyrod Taylor or someone similar to be they day 1 starter and told Caleb to grow up sit down and watch how a professional QB plays and acts for the first 8-10 weeks of the season. It would've helped checked his ego and set him up so much better for the long term.

Fields knew he was done in Chicago, asked to be traded to the Steelers. The GM honored that and traded him to the Steelers, both spoke well of how the other handled the situation. Anything else is gossip
