Has anyone noticed how much better Hurney is getting at draft picks?

Since 2006 or 2007 Hurney has been getting pretty freakin' good at draft picks. He has always had stellar first rounds, and even thought I know its collective process, i would imagine Hurney has the most say so next to J. Fox. Since Hurney has been here look at the All-Pro talent he has uncovered, and the solid back-ups: 2 probowlers at RB(stewart would be a pro-bowler if he started), a probowl left tackle, a solid right tackle, probowl center, WR sucks tho but moving on; 2 probowl linebackers, 2 more great linebackers for depth, best cornerback in the nfl south, a steal of a nickleback in round 7, and two free saftey's coming into their own.

LOL at this thread.

Hurney's team is stellar at the first round, mediocre in the second round, pathetic compared to most teams in later rounds except for the Munnerlyn steal.

name me these 'most teams' that can find studs in the later rounds on a consistent basis.

When did I say on a "consistent" basis? How about more than ONE late-rounder stepping up to be a major contributor? Until the Captain Munnerlyn pick, I'm not sure you could point to a single late-round pick under Marty Hurney that's amounted to being more than an occasional rotational guy. And really, that's all that Munnerlyn is right now too, although I think we all agree he has the opportunity to become much more.

Exactly what I was about to say. there isn't a team in the league that consitantly finds stud afet round 2. Everything after there is a crap shoot and has alot to do with luck. If there was a team that could consitantly land 2 starters from rounds 3-7 per year then they would be the best team in the league every year.

Bottom line as much time and effort that goes into the NFL draft. It is all still a crap shoot..

 wow hasn't even played a down in ATL and hes already overrated.

:biggrin5: Was the only smartass comment I could come up with to a thread that has been made 5978875878723423856729587495798787874854545 times. Robinson=DeAngelo Hall second coming IMO.
