G-Force on Jim Rome tomorrow

Says community and organization is excited about playing in April

Never thought about leaving Charlotte, would always stick with the team.

Says it is so much easier now that Jack is here and how much bigger our front court is.

Thought his insane shot over the backboard should have counted.

Doesn't think he needs rest going into post season...says you rest on your days off, not when you are playing...just to keep going....says he gets more tired going to bench than anything.

Never had concerns about LB coming into coach - says he never knew true basketball fundamentals til LB came in - attributes rebounding to LB.

Appreciates LBs bluntness and honesty and that you have to buy in to him and knows LB criticises to bring out best in players.

Hopes MJ as an owner will help out - MJ tells GW to use his left hand more.

Says he stopped counting how many concussions he has had...says way more than 2 or 3...said collapsed lung was most serious injury he has ever had.

Not worried about injuries...says those things happen.

(He looks really funny because the Bobcats ears are perfectly above his head and kind of makes it look like he has devil horns)

Anyone else notice this? When rome brought up the concussions, Gerald said he lost count and jim pushed him on it... I'm pretty sure Gerald was about to say 5... go watch it again...

Anyways, the concussions don't seem to affect him on the court but he did miss a game this season beacuse of "headaches".... hmmm... let's hope he doesn't turn out like Dan Morgan. :dupe:

    • i think i go in the opposite direction of most. my ideal retirement is living in some old downtown area in a flat above some shop or something.  life out in the country was just something i got real tired of. My kids actually miss some of living out there, which i understand. that was where they grew up for the most part. 40 acres with a 2.5 acre pond. it was beautiful, but also way too much (and too expensive) for me to keep up with.
    • FLASHBACK: I remember back when ESPN was just starting--he was their anchor.  They used to show stuff like Rodeo and field hockey--I remember laughing when he went to a commercial mocking a cycling competition in Utah (or something similar--I made that up) and I laughed.  I told my dad, "We may have us a new anchor when we get back from commercial."  When they came back from commercial, Berman was looking very serious and he said, "Any comments by me do not reflect the views of ESPN....The men and women who cycle are dedicated athletes and we are honored to shine light on their sport." (Paraphrasing).  Dad laughed hysterically. My first memory of him--and that was like 1980.
    • Might not have a team without them. Although that probably applies to the Panthers, too.
