Smitty absolutely owns the Cardinals take a look at his last 3 games vs them.

5catches 117yards 2tds

10catches 136yards 1td(With Vinny as the QB)

8catches 118yards 2tds

Who will be covering Smitty and how many yards does Smitty go for Saturday night?

Most likely DRC...Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie...He's a rookie, but has emerged as the Cards No.1 corner. He was drafted 16th overall from Tennessee State. He was slowly worked into the starting lineup. He only started 11 games, but has 5 INTS, a TD, and a blocked FG.

He has tremendous speed, but he is not the physical type...I expect him to backed off the line of scrimmage giving Smitty the short pass all day. He has been pretty good at tackling...But there's no way he stops 89 by himself.

As a Cards fan I hope they double him all day...I don't care if the run game is running well for the Panthers. There's nobody in the NFL that changes the momentum of a game like 89.

That's the conundrum the cards face, it'll be awfully tough to double Smith, cover Moose and stack 8 in the box to stop Deangelo. Not to sound overly confident but for the first time I can ever remember the Panthers O is deadly on many fronts.

You're absolutely right about that.

This is what I had hoped for and envisioned at the start of the season with the offensive line overhaul, the drafting of Stewart and the acquisition of Moose and Hackett (I still maintain that the latter is worth every bit we're paying him).

The offense is really firing on all cylinders. But I'd feel a lot more confident if our defense--both against the pass and the run--was playing the way it has in years past.
