Game 73: Raptors vs. Bobcats

lol, they're projects, not bands. Neither is a complete outfit, but basically some guys that got tired of looking for the final pieces of the puzzle and decided to make some music.

Really sucks that you have to slave to music right now, but you gotta do what you gotta do bro, and let the rest of the poo roll downhill.

I love to get baked and jam some music, my first project (and priority, and in a coma) is some moderate tempo stoner jam with a heavier grunge element.

The death metal project is a couple kids down the street that just don't have a vocalist yet. And I can scream, and I've got the studio here, so I'm gonna fill out their EP until they find a vocalist.

Musicians aren't the problem. Musicians want to make music. Its the wannabe guitar gods parading as musicians that suck.

fixed:cool:

Even though I'm in it for the $$ right now I feel lucky to be working with world class musicians who work hard at it and care.

Well, guitar gods + singers. I fuging hate singers. The chicks of the music world.

But yeah, I don't meet too many rhythm guitarists, drummers, or bassists that think they're rock stars. I've met a couple of bassists that could play some Primus licks that had those symptoms but that was about it.

I'm a pick bassist so nobody takes me seriously until they lay down a drum track and I drop right in with it.

Oh yeah, I just don't have the stamina I used to. I could play for a couple hours at one point, but now I gotta sit it down after 30.

I steer clear from playing other peoples stuff, but I think the hardest riff I know is Tool's Forty Six and 2, or Acid Bath's Scream of the Butterfly. I can overplay both of them, but they're just the most difficult basslines I've wanted to learn, basically to see how they were constructed.
