Are you disappointed that the Panthers FO has yet to lock up their "core"?

I am disappointed that while the Panthers have trimmed the fat why have they yet to lock up some of their core stars like Davis and Deangelo? Why wait until next year when both players would be FA's? Why not give Deangelo his money upfront so that the back end of his contract is friendly allowing us to also resign Stewart when the time comes.

no, it takes time to get these deals done... the FO is working on the upcoming draft right now. I wouldnt be surprised to see many of them happen after the draft from June thru training camp. Thats when a lot of em happen anyways.

Most teams haven't extended any of their players, they're waiting until after the draft. See: Saints/Colts both plan on extending their QB's but haven't yet.

Still plenty of time before the season starts. I will add that as much as I like Davis, and want to see him a career Panther.. he's coming off a serious injury and the coaching staff/front office will likely want to see how he plays in training camp before giving him a fat contract.

this is VERY difficult time to do any big contracts. Until the labor BS is worked out, its a BIG risk to do much.

Williams deal will come very soon. Davis, not so much probably after next season.

I don't believe it's anything to worry yourself over. I'm pretty sure that as long as the core players are healthy, the FO will want to keep them (hence the term "core").

plus this may be the FO's last year, i think they have next year in mind more than they have the 2012 season

Didn't we already tendered Davis along with Moore & others? I think Davis will be fine & will be stronger than ever.
