10 Things ARI must do and avoid

Recommended Posts

Is 2005 to long ago to recall?

This isn't 2005.

Our D-line is totally different, and our secondary is half different(lol).

Lucas in the 2005 post season had something like 3 INT's and Gamble didn't do anything that I can remember.

Does it look like that would happen this post season given the way Lucas has played? Not likely, but perhaps.

I felt we would have won that Superbowl if our RB's didn't get injured, but this year there are way more dangerous teams in the playoffs than 2005.

Bottom line is we don't yet know how this years panthers will respond.

Yes I think Lucas is the same player, and Gamble isn't a rook anymore. You hit it right on the head we need or D-line and safety's to play better, but my argument is our Corners are as good as any we've ever had at this point. I was referencing 05 as an answer that they especially Luc can and has made big time plays in big time games.

Well the way they came out and played after our first bye sure doesn't inspire my confidence, now that we have a second bye.

I really do hope we come out and play like mad dogs(or cats), and continue our hardcore playoff tradition when we do actually make it. Usually when the panthers make it in, they play with an attitude, grit, and toughness.

The playoffs are basically a new season, the gameplans, and rules change. The refs tend to hold their flags and let the games become much more physical. That should bode well for our D.

I'll also add that the D has played fine at home since the bye and they have some "excuses" for the away games. The whole team was flat in ATL, Kemo was out in NY and NO. They shut down NO until the gameplan went into a shell.

Anyway I don't have your concerns, lets hope I'm right.

poo were usually on the wrong end of flags, lets hope they call those off indeed.

I would have gone with:

1) Don't throw towards Gamble... why do it when you can throw to Lucas or Marshall?

2) Don't try running the ball... We are not the dirty birds.

3) Don't line up under center... Shotgun was the main reason for your offensive success in the first game against carolina.

4) If it is 3rd and long just assume we are going to run a draw play.... seriously don't over think this one.

5) Don't worry about the screen to a rb... Not that you were, but still don't overthink yourself.

6) Pray for good weather... I watched the NE game, OUCH.

7) Get Boldin healthy... Gambles having a career year and I don't see it stopping soon. Having 1 elite wideout might hurt you real, real bad.

8) Gaurd the pass early and often... we are clicking on all cylinders don't cram 8,9 in the box.

9) Wear your visor... those Smitty, D will, J Stew stiffarms will hurt you.

10) Jumping the snap could hurt you... D will is on another level right now, people in the backfeild could make for a huge play, seriously you want to keep this guy in front of you at all times.

Nah, I think mine is better lol

no offense but the original post did not really say anything to me besides a bunch of general rules of football that everyone knows.

- pressure the qb

- gang tackle

- tackle well

- try hard on the d line?

- know game situations

the rest just warns you about players that are household names already

- Pep (yep dbl team him, duh)

- Lucas (totally disagree here I think you just totally missed, he was our clear weakness last game)

- Smitty (yep dbl team him, duh--even tho you didnt say that)

I thought I mentioned some things that a normal NFL fan would not know

I wonder if the extra int's he is getting is OC's trying to pick on the new guy a little?

You could well be right, but it really is a mistake, the guy is a really good talent, with a tremendous upside, and rare speed. He will have to play crazy, out of his mind good to cover Smith, but then again, so does anyone else, but I think he gives us a better shot than Hood on the other side. Hasselbeck gave him two gifts in the game in Seattle, Ryan underthrew the deep ball in Saturdays game, but he was beat by White, but he caught up in about 10-15 yards.

Sorry if I sound like a homer, but the guy is good. Not great, yet, but good.
