10 Things ARI must do and avoid

1. Always, Always, Always remember that Jake Delhomme is not the same guy you see during the regular season that you will see in the playoffs. In January, when that Temp drops and it gets closer to Feb. Defending him will be one of the toughest things that defenders will ever have to do in their careers. In the playoffs, he is cold, calculating, manipulative, brave in the pocket, hard to sack/ bring down and has great vision. So like I said, in the post season if you like Elway, Starbauch, and guys like that then you will love Jake Delhomme. Pressure him often and early or you won't have a shot.

2. Stay disciplined and patient when defending DeAngelo Williams and tackle thoroughly. You let him get in your secondary and bad things are going to happen. Hell, don't worry about shutting him down, that ain't gonna happen and I don't give a damn who your defense is. He is gonna get his yards. He is just that good. Just try to contain him and get holding calls. about the only chance you have.

3. Jonathan Stewart is the hardest Runningback to tackle in the NFL today. Gang tackle or you'll be watching the playoffs from your couch. One on one tackling, not a chance. Have to play together to knock him down.

4. That Offensive line will put you are your ass on the sound of go. They are mean, relentless and they hate you for even wanting to challenge them. Sit on blocks and don't try anything fancy. Do your best.

5. I've seen this time and time again, forget about Mushin Muhammed and Jake will kill you on the post and out routes.

6. Julius Peppers. The name alone should tell you alot. The premiere pass rusher of this league with runningback speed, freakish athleticism and a demand for double teams. Rotate Lineman on him. DO NOT, and I repeat DO NOT USE THE SAME OLINE TACKLE ON EITHER SIDE. Thats setting you up for failure

7. Jon Beason. Locate and know where he is at all times. He can make plays in the backfield, line of scrimmage and is superb in pass coverage. Perhaps the best MLB in the NFC.

8. Ken Lucas. Yeah, everyone talks about Chris Gamble, and Gamble and Marshall are both probowl level talents but Lucas. Every once and again Ken Lucas will put the dagger in you that you will be like, "Whoa! where the hell did that come from?". Now don't get me wrong, he will slip up from time to time but man, will he make up for it with a big time pick. Late 3rd QTR and through out the 4th QTR, he can be as deadly as an Ed Reed, 03 Ty Law or 04 Rodney Harrison. If you can, try to avoid throwing on his side late in the game.

9. Don't beat yourself. Know every game situation and make wise decisions on the field. With their coaching staff and smarts. You shoot yourself in the foot one time and you are done.

10. Steve Smith. There is simply no answer for him. He is the best WR in the US of A today. Just line up across from him and pray that your team's DBs can come up with some containment or miracle. All it takes is that one time whether it be one on one, double or even triple coverage. He is going to jump higher then you, fight harder for the ball then you will and etc. I haven't seen a spirit in a WR like that since Steve Largent and Jerry Rice.

With all that being said, I'm not saying that Arizona can't win but what I'm saying is that you have to stay realistic. Fact has proven this season that it is indeed the TOUGHEST PLACE to play in football point blank and period. Absolutely amazing that this is the ONLY team undefeated at home this season. Don't know why everyone was quick to want to play here instead of NY. You got to be shitting me. In Jan against John Fox and Jake Delhomme? I think I'll pass.

I just don't think Lucas is that good

Like most of the Panthers he's better than given credit for around here. Yes he gets beat from time to time, but he's one of the two best corners we've ever had and the other one lines up across the field from him.

How quickly we forget how bad the secondary was just a few short years ago. It was bad enough to have people saying Manning Jr was good...

I can honestly say I would not have another QB that is in the playoffs besides Jake.

Lucas is a very good corner, we just don't have any safeties that are any good in pass protection to help them out.

Our worst nightmare, he has been a Cardinal's killer the past few games. We can only hope that our number one draft choice last year Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie can make a differance. Since being inserted into the starting line up he has 5 interceptions in the last 8 games. Smith is a beast, and DRC is going to have to play huge to try to even contain him.

Yep that and the Eagles game was all he ever did. Ugh thinking of those scrubs turns my stomach still... Grant, Wesley, Howard, Cousin.... Minter was the only bright spot.
