Prepare for more bitching and complaining.

That's everyday on the Huddle these days.

I won't be complaining about any pick. It's too damned early. Maybe in September.

My only complaint right now is the damned server not sending recovery emails, or the damned contact links not working on the bottom of the forum page.

I want at least 2 of these 4 picks to not be project players for the love of God

We've been so bad at drafting outside of the first two rounds for a very long time. Hitting on even one of these day 3 picks would a pleasant suprise.

Day 3 picks have like a 10% and lower hit rate. Most teams miss on them

    • You're right, it wasn't a bad decision to move on from TB5, it was a DISASTROUS decision to move on.  How many draft picks, how much dead cap, how many players did it cost us when we decided to move on?  The number of dominos that move set in motion is just now beginning to stop.
    • Reich's problem was that he brought in a bunch of highly regarded coaches who had different experiences and personalities who all thought they knew how to fix things. But they weren't on the same page. They weren't cohesive and supportive of one another. There were lots of stories about coaches going over Reich's head to Tepper, fighting openly, and more. It is like having a bunch of superstar players who all play for themselves and not each other. It fails most times. Reich wasn't able to manage the coaches let alone the players. And I think he didn't want Brice and had his success with established guys not like Canales who may well be a quarterback whisperer. Reich was a good coach for Indy and I was supportive when we got him. I never thought he would only last 11 games.still between his guaranteed 4 year salary here and what Indy still owed him through 2026, he made 10s of millions while becoming the only coach to get fired during the season In back to back years.
    • No institution wants this kind of stuff to get out. They handle it "in house" because it is an internal matter, like a company policy on sexual harassment. It may not be a crime, but it is misconduct.  Now, imagine what its like for a female to go to the police about a star athlete.  So when I read Green say, "I never talked to the police about it" I hear, "I am not denying it..." I know several female students in high school who came to me with a complaint against the high school coach for grabbing them, kissing them, and making crude sexual comments to them.  Problem? He won the state championship the year before.   Central office covered it up when I reported it to them as required by law.  A year or so later, he grabbed a student from a high school outside the district during a basketball game and kissed her, pulling her toward his office.  That parent went to the newspaper--front page.  The school and system denied knowing anything about his history.  Unfortunately, the law does not regulate character--it deals with laws being broken if the victim has the courage to come forward and press charges.
