Why is no one considering double dip at WR?

Corbett at Center with Cade Mays as his backup is hardly a set plan. I think we could get another WR at 65 that would still improve our roster, and maybe actually give ISM some more snaps

adding a rookie C isnt much of a better plan for 2024.  Think they need to pay an old vet that gets cut later at C in case Corbett stinks

We need to go BPA, and I don’t expect that to be a WR double dip. It might not be a WR at all tbh.

I mean it would be a very Panther thing to do….to avoid WR in a WR draft.  No arguing that.  We are the worst team in all of sports for a reason.

I’ve been begging for the WR double dip since before the combine.  Since we before we even had two 2nds.

we should make this an offensive skill position draft class.

Double dip at WR to kick off the draft.  Edge in the 3rd.  Get a TE and pass catching RB in 4 and 5.

rent Gilmore at DB and rent a backup vet C in FA

Add A couple of lineman picks in the late rounds and call it a day.

It’s really the only one that matters. No raw 2nd round edge rusher is going to do much in the grand scheme of things for us. CB? Sign Gilmore if it’s that big of a deal

This organization needs to find out what they have in Bryce this season. They absolutely should be double dipping at WR. If Bryce ain’t it then at least the next guy has a fighting chance

This is an offensive league. You’re never going to have a complete team. You’re always going to have a weakness. Every year the league changes rules in hopes of more points being scored. Our offense was downright awful last year and people still want to spend picks on defense… I don’t get it.

I was told this was the deepest WR class in quite some time. We can't get a 2nd WR later in the draft?

I might be the only person high on Johnson. I really feel he will be our #1 WR this season and I expect us to sign him longterm. He seems to get lost in all this WR talk. I'm all for double dipping at WR just not with our first 2 picks. We can get our 2nd WR later in the draft.

I would 100% be ok with taking two WRs

For example if we took AD at 33 and Ladd at 39 that would be incredible

or if we take XL at 39 and Javon Baker at 65 or in the fourth I'd be happy as well

Honestly everyone stuck on wr.  The draft could very well fall where we don't get a wr at all because it would be a reach and better players at other positions are on the board.

Yeah that's what I was thinking would be best. On top of the new playbook, new oc, working out the cadence while learning how to identify defenses, could get really ugly without a vet C with legit snaps in the league.

We have holes and little depth across our roster. Just go BPA. Get guys that can be cornerstones of the organization. Not just some guy to fill a position of need

we can sprinkle talent everywhere and solve nothing.

There is really good offensive skill talent in this draft at WR,.  If we draft two, odds improve you actually solve a problem.

plus we need to see if we can salvage the massive investment at QB.  That should take priority over defending the pass and not being able to move the ball on offense.   You can’t move the ball….its not going to matter about your D talent.

Also we need one for the future obviously, but how many targets are we expecting a rookie to get after Johnson and Thielen? If it's not a slot/route runner type guy I don't think many of those 2.7 second balls are going to a vertical guy. If BPA is a corner or edge that would have immediate impact I'd be bummed if we reached for an XL or Troy Franklin over them

Bro, I've called for WRs on both second round picks forever. Ladd, Ricky then Van Pran would be my dream for the 1st three picks. I don't think TE is that big of a need.

Thielen and Diontae could legit be gone next season. Why not get their insurance plans in a WR heavy draft? And even if Diontae comes back, he'll be trying to get 20M+ a year. Shouldn't the team prepare for that?

    • Watching Rams/Eagles. Celebrating the St Louis Rams team that won the SB (Warner, Holt, etc..) while playing in Los Angeles seems wrong.  If I were in Los Angeles, no way I would attend a Rams game.  Probably wouldn't attend a Chargers game either.  Becoming a fan of a team that likes to move around just seems like a waste of energy as a fan.
    • The only responses I am getting after providing statistics to put opinions in perspective seem to be from people who get angry and attack stats and people whose opinions differ from their own.  Have people on the Huddle ever overreacted, exaggerated, been wrong about players before?  Sure they have, so an alternative opinion with statistical support should not cause you to attack me or my views.  I am sorry your public schools failed you.  But your reactions are very revealing--you are stuck in Piaget's concrete operational stage--learn logic, how to debate a topic, and learn the difference between facts and emotional opinions.  When I paralleled Cam's stats with Jones' to point out how remarkably similar their careers have been to this point, It blew some 40 watt minds.  I think Jones, in a better situation, could be good--that should not upset you--
