Many times the best deal is the one you have.  This team has  2 top 40 picks with a draft full of talent and a team full of holes.  Whatever they do they should not squander the opportunity that is sitting in front of them.  Best you can hope for is that they don’t overthink it.

Just throwing the 1st next year out the window bc it’s not happening, I said top 40 and second next year which is also very unlikely to happen.

The best we could hope for would be a third, but I am not sure you get that by dropping 7 spots.  However, the long-term, smart move is to swap second round picks for a second rounder next year.  Without a second rounder next season, we are in no position to move around the first if we need to move up.
