It's about that little birdie time in a few days

I've certainly noticed attempts at closing the pipeline of rumors---hell, all information---down since Tepper bought the team. @Zod obviously no longer has the access that he once did (and maybe not even the inclination to find anything out since the teams have sucked during this era), and those "little birdies" seem harder to come by in general, but they still do.

Last year, we didn't have to hide anything, and the franchise even purposely leaked that Bryce Young was the pick in order not to have a great fan upheaval on draft night. I don't keep up with some of the Huddle's Panthers insiders like some of you, so I don't even know all of their names, but feel free to tag 'em  in this thread. Other than Zod and @Verge  I really haven't paid attention. I know that there was some other guy that brought the juice. Then there was some guy on YouTube that had it on good authority (obviously) that we were picking Horn if he was available.

Certainly, like all this stuff---perhaps moreso this year due to the fact that we're presumably not picking until 33---it depends on who slides and falls, but has anyone actually in the know heard any rumors?

i think this front office iteration is doing a better job of keeping things quiet.

there have been times that it isn't until right before the draft starts that we start hearing things so who knows?

the fact that there are so many unknowns as far as how the draft is going to fall is keeping them from making any definitive plans. this could be an insane draft and i think no one has any confidence at all in how it's all going to shake out the first round. so much talent in so many positions. it's going to be governed by unpredictable runs on positions.

I have never seen Zod and Verge in the same room at the same time.  Just sayin'.

Here is some hope--earlier in one of my educational, cerebral posts, I stated that the Panthers have shown no interest in bringing in a Center.  No meetings or visits that we know of....just saying that Corbett will be the Center this year.

Behold:  (If this is common knowledge then I missed it)

Wonder what happened to him/her?

Probably got insulted by some idiot in here and said "peace out mtfr's". A large contingent around here wants to shout down anyone who might actually hear things because why? Who the hell knows. Anyway, take what I said with a grain of salt. I listen to their posts and take it for what it is. Doesn't mean it's 100% accurate all the time but I respect it.

Charlie has called the last 7 Panthers first round picks correct, including us taking Horn when almost no one else even considered that. Obviously 33 is a bit different because there are 32 picks ahead and random variables with trades up, etc. But he has us taking Xavier Legette at 33. Which suggests the noise around the Panthers and Legette is real (unfortnuately)
