Mark Jones

i saw recently that we got a compensatory pick for letting Mark Jones go. He signed with the Titans last year and lost his job early. He was the best returner for the Panthers since Smitty. We have been looking for a good returner for so long, found one, and let him go...Why? Anyway i'm pretty sure he's available and if so i think we should def get him...thoughts

rule changes would have made him less effective. ask yourself why the titans let him go? he's been let go from 3 teams in 3 years. you have to wonder why.

we can do better and they are looking at legit options this year to improve special teams.

mark jones is gone and should be gone. move forward. quit looking at a mediocre past and longing for it.

This is true... however, he was a journeyman long before the rules changes.. so I have to think maybe that wasn't the only issue, if the issue at all..

I may be "mis-remembering", but wasn't the reason due to a failed physical?

We passed up a solid return guy.... for a guy who got cut and was the next coming of Steve Smith.. (or so many huddle fans seemed to think)

If he had of been a step or two faster he would have had numerous touchdowns for us. He always made the right decision and hit the right hole, only to eventually be tackled from behind. I don't know if I've ever seen a returner with as good of field vision and decision-making as Mark Jones. If only he had the wheels.
