One shot 1 goal is a typical canes start….both teams look like they are not playing hard at all.

The shot counter was off on the feed it was their second shot they scored on and they have had 3.... are slow starts really a surprise? The Canes seem to always start slow on the scoreboard even when they do outplay teams too bad we couldn't just start the games in the 2nd.

I must be watching a different game. Canes playing well with 10-2 SOG and keeping the game in the offensive zone. Other than the breakdown that allowed the breakaway goal by the Blackhawks I have no big complaints. Necas had two grade A’s that didn’t go in.

Canes getting beat on faceoffs though so gotta do better there.

So, the Caps game last night. Jensen goes down hard after hitting the boards head first. He's stretchered off and there was about 1:50 left in the period.

Refs called the period early and sent teams to the rooms. Did they add the time to the 2nd period?

Apparently so, saw this in the news-

“Officials postponed the final 1:31 of the first period to be played after intermission.”

Didnt see the game but I bet they blew the whistle after 1:31 and restarted for the second 20.
