Everyone thinks the Panthers are going WR in the second. Watch them not take one until late in the draft if they take one at all.

they did cushion themselves a bit and bought some time albeit a small amount with the DJ trade.  That allows them to not desperately have to get a wr in the 2nd and maybe fortify the lines if guys drop.

True, but I'm going with the traditional Panthers move of not picking to the strength of a draft.

The problem is our current #1 wr and #2 wr are could very well be gone after this season.  So there is a cushion, but its very thin.

That pick 39 is a nice reserve to grab one of the next tier WRs if a huge talent drops to 33.  Pears or Coleman could work there with BPA at 33 or even auction that pick if the price is right.

iunno unless they setting up a smoke screen for legette i don't see it happening. i'd still like to see OL/LB at 33 then WR at 39.

could Carolina go all Offense this year, and since evero prolly leaves after this season, redraft the defense with the new DC next year?

That draft would pay HUGE dividends in 2025. I few contributions in 2024. But in 2025, this draft would change this team's future. Granted, for the first time ever, Carolina would become an offensive team. Something none of us would recognize. And yes it'd be a little scary for awhile. But...

Welcome to the new NFL.

    • The problem with drafting a DE/EDGE high in the 1st is the bust factor.  That position group busts at a scary rate.  We HAVE to hit our first 3 rounds.  Cant take chances on tweeners or potential guys.
    • Man folks right on this site said Deion was gonna follow his son to the nfl and have a big impact on his draft stock with his interference and yet we have seen no such thing. He just signed an extension to stay in Colorado for the foreseeable future. The only thing we have seen is so called experts try to tank shedeurs stock with false accusations and rumors and deion just had to step in and shut it down. This why you have to stop listening to what certain people say. Too much hate and emotion in most opinions.
    • That's sound logic! I think we could make a case for a few players. I know its not popular  with a few but Warren gives to the  identity we want. Tremble is mostly a blocker. Sanders flashed late but mostly a receiving  threat at the moment. Warren is an automatic 1st down, run blocks, runs the ball and can even line up and throw it. To me he is if you took the Taysom Hill and actually could play tight end too. I just think looking at Goedert, Kelce,  Laporta, Hoeckenson, Baltimore Tight ends, Knox and Kindcaid and etc... all the  last few teams had stellar Tight end play. Warren allows you to be unpredictable  on offense bc he is equally good at being a target, as he is a blocker. Don't want to run Bryce on a qb sneak, plug Warren in with the threat to pass. I would be happy with him, Walker or a few others. As long as the player isn't riding the bench year 1.
