yeah, I mean, even mild manner people have their moments.  I think it is safe to put Bryce Young in the calm and mild manner camp in term of the NFL.   I don't have an issue w/ that.  I don't need him to be Cam or Jake.  I just hate the PR this time of year.

Oh I get the PR stuff, but I mean he had a few moments last year I would like to see more of.  I would like to see some of that passion as he gets more comfortable.  Players can feed off of it.  He showed it in college more IMO.

We get it, you are over him.  Why are you torturing yourself by trying to talk about him constantly?  If it's "depressing" you then perhaps find something else to talk about?  

The people on here that are the most anti-Bryce are the ones who want to constantly talk about him.  Just take a look at the top posters on this topic.

None of this is "route concepts" or whatever. They're literally working just the tree. 

After one year in the NFL, the panthers head coach is saying they don't know which of the basic throws their QB can make. 

This is not complicated. 

That’s your version of what’s being implied. Mine is he’s working with a second year QB he’s never worked with before, so he’s going to throw a lot at him to see what he does best. He’s getting to know his new QB. Nothing more, nothing less.

I said your argument was depressing me not the conversation.

Seeing more should be the floor given all that we heard about his background and especially in comparison to Stroud who had his character baseless questioned . It's about consistency. Hey how about go to your fellow rookie WR Jonathan Mingo and setup some time to practice together so you will both be better for it.

The so called "anti Bryce" talk is nothing more than expecting a basic level of accountability that is being expected of players like Mingo who I just mentioned and whom we also did not forfiet significant assets to acquire.

every QB can be and should be taught and retaught some fundamentals from time to time to get them back on track when some bad habits have formed over time.

so some bad habits got picked up along the way or other things allowed to slide...i don't know.

what's the big deal in saying that a new pro QB has some things that needs to be corrected?

Because we gave up a poo load to get him and our crack front office said he was the most pro ready qb since luck or some such and to add insult to injury Stroud has absolutely flawless mechanics

      I think taking T-Mac changes how to look at XL and the season he had, especially in retrospect. If you look at his rookie season from the viewpoint of "we traded into the 1st round to take him as our #1 WR of the future" then yea, he had a god awful rookie season and I'd be scared about his future.  But we've now drafted T-Mac, it allows us to now go back and look at XL's rookie season in a totally different light. XL was a late bloomer, essentially having only one college season of experience, he was always going to be VERY raw last year.  If we knew at the time that one year later, we'd have a true #1 and XL "only needs to be a future #2 and potentially doing it from a power slot position" then I'm not so sure he had all that bad of a rookie season. Because he still had 49 catches for 500 yards and 4 TDs, which really is a pretty darn good rookie season for a player as raw as XL was/is, especially when you consider the QB struggles we had last year, and even once Bryce turned things around a bit, we were still a run based team and Bryce's stats were anything but mind-blowing.   Personally, I think it's one of those situations where people are too focused on the negatives with XL and not seeing all the positives and potential he has given how raw he still is. If he's worked on his craft and cuts back on his drops, it's very reasonable to think he could be a 70 catch, 800 yards, and 5 TD type of player for us in year 3 when he's the #2 after Thielen is gone. How many teams have that type of talent as their #2 WR behind a guy putting up 1,200+ and 10 on a yearly basis as their #1 as I fully expect T-Mac to be doing? Then if Coker also improves slightly and is kicking in 600-700 yards himself, then you've built yourself a Top 5 WR room.

      Mel Kiper's long illustrious history would also indicate that neither does Mel Kiper. It's almost like this poo isn't an exact science or something and that there's a lot of different variables that go into whether or not a guy is successful. It's just that according to Mel Kiper, everyone else is an idiot and he's perfect. LOL
