Smart move on his part.  See if anyone gives you a multi-year deal or a lot of money for 1 year, if something doesn’t come then wait for injuries in training camp or a team to get desperate and over pay.

It would make no sense for the Panthers to be signing some of these guys to 1 year contracts this year

While I want a vet starter, don't want to overpay for a guy. Just need a bridge for the young guys, imo.

looks like our role is going to be to help the Jets over pay. i’d like to have him, but if the jets are going to outbid everyone, we just have to look elsewhere and punish the jets.
