Subway vs. Harris Teeter Subs vs. ?

HT subs kick ass, but it depends on who makes them. The older the counter person, the heavier the sub. And I have stood there "making up my mind" until the right clerk was available.

Wilmingtonians, go to Sub Stop on Carolina Beach Rd and get a Sub Burger. Hell, yeah....

If we're talking about chains, J Mike's by far.

Everything except the bullets at Quiznos pretty much sucks. Firehouse is overrated, but their Gator Hammock hot sauce is the tits.

Subway's chicken breast isn't horrible. Everything else there is.

HT's bread is too doughy. I always get their wraps. I don't want to eat 2 lbs of bread to get 1 lb of meat.

I use to make sandwiches at Dean and Deluca so nothing compares to the monsters I use to hook up.

1) Quizno

2) Firehouse

5) Jersey Mike

20) Jimmy John

100) HT

678932460234078324523) Subway

I just had my first Chicken Carver sandwich today at Boston Market. Holy hell that poo was fudging good. total only came out to 5.24 for a half sandwich, one side and drink.

Man Jersey Mike's beats the crap outta Quiznos. Like, everything seriously tastes the same at Quiznos. It's not bad at all, but I always feel like I overpay.

Mikes is pretty damn expensive for a sandwich, but that thing could put you in the ER, and it's the best.. so I don't feel bad when I make my occasional visit.

I agree with Scrum, I wouldn't eat at Subway if I was dying of starvation. HT subs are pretty good, and they are great value.

No love for Penn Station though? Its greasy as hell but I think its good.

I wasn't a big fan of Jimmy John's subs but their wheat bread sandwiches were great. Got burned out on them though and haven't eaten there in a few months.

I don't want to sound like "that guy" from the North but .......Jersey Mikes is decent (especially for a chain) but why I have yet to come across a place around here that makes a true NJ/Philly style Hoagie is beyond me. You can get good Pizza in this area now but not a good hoagie that I know of. The type that it is not humanly possible to put your mouth around without sitting on the thing first because it is so big. I even remember selling hoagies as fundraisers for little league and they were phenomenal. God I am hungry now.
