Burns is obviously the better player.  But in its totality, I'd much rather have Wonnum at this rate and resign Brown to a mega-deal with the Burns money.

Much better use of resources.  We still need to sign another OLB and probably draft one as well, but this is a good start.

Well and not just that.  Its potentially disgruntled Burns playing on the franchise tag for this cellar dweller team.  I don't think he reaches his potential in that situation, and it makes more sense to replace him with someone new who's cheaper and temporary.
