Donovan McNabb

Rivers has been balling his ass off and I wont argue with you too much about picking him. I will say Rivers put his #'s up against Denver, Oakland, Kansas City, and a fading Tampa team. None of those are playoff teams. Donovan did it against Arizona, New York, Cleveland, Washington, & Dallas. His wild card weekend performance was better than Rivers too.

Rivers would have passed for more yards but Scifers kept pinning the Colts deep and the Bolts got the ball at the fifty. ;):D

don hasnt had an elite reciever since owens left either. he is the 3rd best QB in the league, and he does it with mediocre recievers. kevin curtis is pretty good, but he missed most of the season with injuries.

westbrook hashelped him alot, but westbrook has injury problems of his own also.

oops, i forgot about desean jackson, he will be a great reciever.

I am not trying to preach here, but Rivers is the 3rd best QB in the league now.

Also, until this year can you name 2 WR's that play for SD, maybe even now most can't name their no. 2 WR.

They do have a beast of a TE in Antonio Gates, and LT is a superstar RB. Westbrook is a playmaker Donovan has, but are we really gonna compare Westbrook to LT? Rivers has played well no doubt, but even he has a bit more to work with on offense than Donovan.

I agree that the TE is a beast, there is not doubt there. But to say that Westbrook is not in the same league is not correct. I will venture to say that Westbrook has been the better RB for the past 18 months, and certainly better at receiving than LT has been of late.

I will agree that Rivers' has more on offense than does Donavan, but not by a ton.

I will say this if I am looking for a QB and I could get anyone in the league, Rivers would be higher on my list than Donavan.

I think the benching was nothing more than a way to show everybody Kolb wasn't ready. And the only way to shut up everybody was to put him in. I think this was a prearranged benching and then Donovan acted all pissed about it, to sell it.

Interesting concept

Interesting concept

I usually don't buy into conspiracies. But it's the only thing that makes sense, to me anyway. That happened right around the time when we were talking about benching Jake, and how most people were saying you don't bench your starting QB. Then Philly did. And it seemed to work for them. It was the Baltimore game and they were getting whipped, so it was the perfect time for it.

..has been the best QB in the league since he was benched in Week 12 (he's won 5 of 6 since then). Its almost unbelievable to think people were calling him "finished" or said it was time for the Kevin Kolb era in Philly. During his last 4 games he completed 63% of his passes, threw for 886 yards, 9 TDs and 1 INT to give Philly a playoff birth when most left them for dead. Yesterday he put up 300 yards & a TD in a tough road game against Minnesota. I know Philly is a tough place to play, and Donovan has had some bad games, but he's has always seemed to be a magnet for criticism as a QB and leader. I think the job he's done the past few weeks has only added to his legend and helped solidify him as the 3rd best QB of this decade behind Manning & Brady.

I've always thought he was the 3rd best QB in the league.

Go read Coack K's book Lead with the heart or leading with the heart.

He talked alot about going to his stars or leaders and gave them the heads up about a tounge lashing or some type of rebuke to not just send a message but show the way to respond to adversity.

Players and coaches are motivational junkies. They will say nobody believed in us after being favored by Vegas.

Anything to find a cause celeb they will do it.

I can't agree. He has an excellent arm, makes good decisions most times, and puts up big numbers. But I'd take an average to bad QB with no quit before I would McNabb. He is shaky at best in big games, and cries like the world is out to get him the second things don't go his way. We all saw it in '03. He flat out quit in that game, and you're fooling yourself if you say otherwise. His head was down by the third quarter.
