A trade down might sound crazy but...

Sorry i can't do that. It is a fairly simple process of elimination.

The Golden Calf of Bristol and MCCOY are winners in college that does NOT mean they will be successful in the NFL. NEITHER play in a offense that can be called pro style. McBOY has a noodle arm. Tebone has a hitch in his throwing motion that makes Byron Leftwich look like Broadway JOE.

You can say that about anybody. That doesn't even make sense. Are you trying to eliminate them from being a 2nd round prospect because they won in college?

NEITHER play in a offense that can be called pro style.

Neither does Bradford and numerous other QBs in the past drafted 2nd round and higher.

McBOY has a noodle arm. Tebone has a hitch in his throwing motion that makes Byron Leftwich look like Broadway JOE.

They have negatives, like every other draft prospect. I can give you a list of negatives on Suh and there are plenty on Bradford and Clausen but I'll take a wild guess and say a few teams might have them at the very least 2nd round prospects.

Still waiting for this undeniable fact that makes you 100% sure no team in the NFL wants to spend a 2nd on The Golden Calf of Bristol or that the Vikes wouldn't want to trade up for either.

it may sound good when you explain it out like in the first post, but I doubt we would do something like that with out first pick again for the 3rd straight year

trading down and trading next years first again in order to gain more draft picks in a deep draft class makes it very much possible.

hear me out. The Jacksonville Jaguars are desperate to draft The Golden Calf of Bristol. They feel his hometown hero worship will salvage their bottom line and spare them being moved to LA LA Land. They are far from a complete team but with a top 10 pick and some pretty good young pieces they could still compete.

I will be using the time honored and ignored value chart. With the value in ( )

The rub is we offer our 48th pick (420Pts) for Clint Ingram 27yr old OLB (3rd round tendered FA) the 73rd pick (225Pts) and as a sweetener the 5th round pick 142nd pick (35Pts.)

With this trade the Jags can walk away from the first day with The Golden Calf of Bristol and DEZ BRYANT ok if they can't sell tickets with those two they need to be moved.

Our draft picks would look like this.

3a.

3b.

4.

5.

6a.

6b.

6c.

Some may think it silly to pass on the 2nd round talent but i like adding more picks for a smart group to scour the mid rounds. In this deep draft i think the Panther's could find some real gems. Plus we need backups more than starters.

not going to happen

we need a WR that can start next year

I had this argument with the Defensive lineman in the 2nd contingent. They insisted that the WR depth would mean that talented WR's will be available in the third.

I disagreed and still feel that WR does have to be the first pick. But i have come around to the fact that WR's will be there at the top and middle of 3rd that we have our eyes on.

Now obviously my mock will likely be shredded by trades and surprise picks but the way i have things shaking out right now would leave us some very good WR's in the third.

1. Golden Tate - Broncos ~ The Broncos will bring in the anti Marshall.

1. Dez Bryant - Jags ~ Sims-Walker and Dez would form a very dangerous combo.

2. Arrelious Benn - Buccs ~ Antonio Bryant is gone but Benn could easily replace him.

2. Damian Williams - Pats ~ The once powerful Pats offense needs some young blood.

2. OUR PICK ~ if we trade to the Jags they are taking The Golden Calf of Bristol.

2. Mardy Gilyard - Bengals ~ If we are not there to take Mardy they will.

3. Damaryius Thomas - Rams ~ The Rams get real lucky.

3a and 3b. Our picks. We would have Taylor Price, Carlton Mitchell, Andre Roberts, Jacoby Ford, Jeremy Williams, Marcus Easley and Jordan Shipley all right there.

High value picks and not reaches. I will say right now Price, Roberts and Ford could all see time next year.

The Jets could very well take Andre Roberts or Price out from under us if we did do the trade. And i somehow left out LeFell. The Phins would swoop him up before us. I see a heck of a run on WR's in the 2nd. We will have to reach a little to get the guy we want or trade down. Yes, i am passing on Bay Bay Thomas. The guy is a bust waiting to happen.

You would be getting reamed on that trade. Crimson&CloverTide. Dwayne Jarrett could have put up numbers with David Garrard. Sims-Walker is nice but only played 9 games last year.

RED FLAG. And then you are gonna take a Kicker with the acquired pick? Your JOKING right?

he played in every game last year...

Ehhh, No! Without a 1st again, we need our 2nd round pick to get our #2 or Slot Receiver. Although i read that Steve Smith said that what he meant by "we need a faster receiver", was that he was willing to run Slot and give up the #2 WR to a younger, faster WR, if he could handle it.
