Open Indoor BBall Gym

Recommended Posts

I live in South Charlotte and would like to find an open indoor gym to play some basketball. Anyone know of any good gyms where people go? I would love to play pickup games and such. I would prefer somewhere that doesnt stay extremely crowded.

I know the YMCA is usually a good choice, you can go play in their facility without being a member right? Pay some small fee each time you go right? If so, anyone know how much?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Keith

there is an indoor very nice court in Dilworth that has open court certain nights a week.

I almost PMed u this, but seeing that I dont live in Charlotte anymore, I dont care about letting out this Gem. About a year ago, there were 15-20 guys there every tuesday night for pick up games. I started invinting the guys from the warehouse and it got out of controll busy after that. (lots of black people in Dilworth elementary school=somebody got pissed) We stopped going after about 60+ people stared showing up and only wanted to only play the full court (long ways). I think there were a few cars that got broken into too, and cops got pissed.

Its too bad, The court was so nice and well kept...There are 6 goals there, with bleachers and locker rooms. I hope it is still open, for your sake.

    • I just switched to prime video with fanduel south. Will I be able to watch the Canes playoff games still?
    • I mean, you can use that "logic," but the problem is that most practice squad players, backups or average guys don't put the play on film that Wharton did when given their opportunities.  Perhaps you'll end up right, but I don't think that just because a guy has been in a rotation makes him inherently less productive because he gets more snaps. I will say that the KC fans I've seen on social media loved him, and considered him their second best DT,  regardless of his "rotational" status, and generally considered him a dawg, so I'm going to give him the benefit of doubt until he shows otherwise.
    • Did I miss something?  The people we have developing players now are not the ones we've had in the past so I don't know what the heck people are talking about when they say we are not good at developing players right now.  We only have one year to go on.  Canales likes young players or players who are on an upward trajectory, especially in FA this year.  Past QB's and what he's done with Bryce are good examples. Tershawn Wharton - 26 Tre'von Moehrig - 25 Pat Jones II - 26 Bobby Brown III - 24 Michael Jackson - 28 Jaycee Horn - 25 Tommy Tremble - 24 We missed on Milton Williams but he's 26. Everyone else we picked up are on 1 year deals.  The Panthers new front office and Canales absolutely scream developmental team. Pick 8 (stay) Tier 1 Elite - Abdul Carter, Travis Hunter and Mason Graham Tier 2 Elite - Jalon Walker, Mykel Williams, Will Johnson Trade down: There are quite a few really good players that fit us at Edge, DT, S and WR mid to late 1st and high 2nd.  Some combos that would be possible that I really like.  Imagine getting 2 of these guys by trading down. Stark, Pierce Jr, Golden, Scourton, Grant, Emmanwori, Ezeiruaku, Umanmielen, Deone Walker, Harmon and this is just off the top of my head.
