Fox and Payton oppose OT changes

Despite the expressed opposition of their respective coaches, the Saints and Panthers both voted for the OT change. Ditto their NFC South rivals, the Falcons and Bucs. The "no" votes were from the Vikings, Bengals, Ravens and Bills.

Consideration will be given to expanding it into the regular season.

To elaborate further...

The reason a lot of players and coaches don't want this is that the longer a regular season game goes, the more the chance of someone getting hurt. That's why they'd rather end the game quicker, even if they're on the losing end. Regular season losses can generally be overcome.

In the playoffs though, they're willing to go a little longer to extend their chances of going to the Super Bowl.
