Peppers makes himself at home

Because sacks are the end all, be all when it comes to DEs. No, he disappears when he's getting punked by single blockers.

But you know what, you guys are probably right. Peppers gives it his all and has since he came into the league. Multiple analysts, fans, and even Jon Beason were wrong. He's faced question regarding his work ethic since he was in college but I guess all of these college analysts and scouts were totally off base.

but dude, they've seen videos of peppers on youtube. he never gave up on plays in his highlight reels!!!!!!!!

okay im going to the driving range, peace out folks

"3-4 years left?" How can you possibly say that? He's 30 years old, has not had any major injury to the important areas (knees, ankles, hips) and keeps himself in amazing shape and conditioning. That's just silly to me to say he can only play the game for 3-4 more years. Bruce Smith (and I'm not comparing him to him- just saying they have similar physical attributes) played for 18 seasons and he didn't show a real decline in production until his 16th season. I'm only saying that he could easily have 5-7 more seasons in him.

i agree 100%.

I hate Pep is making things personal by saying things like everyone in Charlotte was in his buisness. Fans loved the guy, but he was pretty much invisable other than when he was playing and half the time he was invisable then. Jesus Christ, I could count on one hand how many times I've heard the guy speak since he's been here. Bottom line... if the guy doesn't want to be here then he's no good to us and paying him some ridiculous amount of money to not play up to his potential is ludacris. So good riddance Pep!

When the Cowboys ran the ball, they were able to run right at Peppers. Tight end Jason Witten showed he could block Peppers single-handedly, like he did on three different occasions including runs of 10 and 18 yards. They were also able to fool Peppers, like they did on a Patrick Crayton 14-yard reverse. Peppers was left unblocked, but he found himself out of position as the backside contain when Crayton ran right on by him.

Pretty good summary of that Cowboys game. I just dont see this happening to Allen. Allen would love to put Witten on the highlight reel by punking his ass. Then you would hear the TV commentators commenting on why in the world would a coach try to block Allen with a TE? Thats how I would see it happen at least.

Peppers should have had the same results. But he didnt.

So you agree that he doesn't apply himself, that to this point he's wasted a lot of potential, but you also think that he is better than Allen? Not to mention the negative effect that his lack of effort has on the locker room. The Vikings can rally behind Allen. The Panthers had to call Peppers out on local sports radio stations.

no he just chooses when he wants to play.i didnt see the negative effect his lack of effort had on the lockeroom.the vikes rally behind allen bc he talks and says whatever.pep is not that person.beason is, and thats why we rally behind him.

Peppers isn't going to "Win" games for you. He's a great pass rusher, OK against the run and the Bears Offense is mediocre at best. Our O-Line is legit and can hold their own against any player.

The carolina vs. bears game is going to be really fun, amazing offense vs. good defense, no offense??? outcome?

You brought up stats. Need I remind you?

How many all-time greats have had "f**k it" years? Has Allen had a "f**k it" year? You can't depend on Peppers from play-to-play, game-to-game or even season-to-season. But keep running your head into that brick wall.

Yes. As well as 3 DUI's.

Most DE's take off plays. Get over your school girl hatred of Peppers.

Was he Reggie White? No. Has anyone other than Reggie White been Reggie White? No.

He was a very, very good DE and hands down the best defensive player we've ever had.

DUI's have what to do with football?

and hands down the best defensive player we've ever had? Jon Beason might have something to say about that.

this is coming from someone who doesn't really care about Peppers so there is no hate towards him. I would however take Jon Beason over Peppers any day of the week.
