I think the o.p. hit it on the head--that's what I think will happen, FWIW. I think Brown has to prove he can be an everydown end before he can be deemed as a starter. I hope he's hitting the weight room hard and downing a bunch of protein shakes this offseason.

True, but since this is the case in your opinion, what do you think of the Brown pick?

I hope its Brown and Johnson.

But I am a little cautious with brown, because I think if hes starting opposing teams are going to run his way a lot.

Cannot wait to see this and the LBer battle in TC though, should make for some interesting discussions.

I think Johnson is ready to step up though, I remember reading somewhere he is one of the strongest guys on the team, His bull rush may make us not miss Pep so much.

Yeah clearly Brown is passing down DE. He would get pushed around on running plays.

i don't think we have the full picture yet.

we will probably use a fairly high pick on a DE and/or bring in a vet or two.

i can't see us sitting with just these guys. on the 53 man roster there will be at least one other DE that will be competing for play.
