Blame Jake all you want, but he wasn't the one demoting Jarrett.

how? by not throwing him the ball that's helping him???? Can you even find 1 single pass that he dropped???? 1 catchable pass that was thrown his way wasn't caught and I dont even think Moss or Fitzgerald coulda caught it cuz it was so bad:conehead:

You know i can not figure out why so many folks think DT is high on our priorities. We have actually already spent several picks 2010 picks on that and added a FA.

1. Tank Tyler -2010 5th round pick used to acquire the NC State alumni.

2. Louis Leonard - 2010 draft pick used to acquire LL from the Browns.

3. Corey Irvin - 2009 3rd round draft pick by the Panther's.

4. Ed Johnson - Still very young and has stumbled some hurdles but reuniting with Meeks and joining a high character locker room could pay huge dividends.

SO YEAH, i think DT should not be to high on the list since we have made moves to improve it recently. Now lets compare our WR corp.

We have used 5 first day draft picks on a WR in 14 years. We have not used a first three rounds pick since Dwayne Jarrett in 2007. Since that time 30 WR's have been drafted in the 1st three rounds. Some pretty good players like Eddie Royal, Desean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin and Hakeem Nicks have helped there teams immensely. During that time we added Otah, Brown and Stewart instead. I am not complaining but it is time we add a WR. I would not mind another trade up for one. Something has to be done. DT or DE is not as big a issue. And JAKE made Smith look bad last year so i will give Jarrett one more year.

Ed johnson was a FA...we didnt trade for him. and why we need a DT, be honest. have you ever even heard of Tank Tyler and Louis Leonard more than once before we traded for them? i doubt it

You missed the point, he failed to make the active game roster, Soooooo, the coaching staff obviously didn't have a whole lot of faith in him. Apparently he's the Alan Iverson of the Panthers. "Practice? Practice...man why you talking about practice?"

Again, Jake didn't promote Kenneth Moore over Jarrett for the better part of the season.

Go ahead and blame Jake some more....

Seems your reading comprehension is not to hot. I plainly said that their was a FA pick up. ED. Also if all these guys are healthy and Ed can return to prior form we are in good shape. Using a 2nd or 3rd on a position we have talent at is silly. We have high hopes for Corey Irvin and last i checked we can only put 2 DT's on the field at one time. So we have depth and we have starters. We might need to add a RDE to rotate and provide depth behind Brown. CJ and Brayton are solid and so is Brown but 1 more young guy would be cool. I repeat the interior has some talent. I would be more worried that Eric Moore or Hilee Taylor will see the field than Tank or ED.

 thank you, im so sick of hearing these so called "fans" bitch that Jarrett is a bust, when he never has been given a chance. I will bet anybody he has a solid year this year due to the fact that Moore knows how to spread the ball around. Does anybody rea;ize delhomme was garbage and was not capeable of looking for other WR's? DELHOMME IS GONE, now we instantly are a better offense, get over it

Well said! Matt Moore should make a difference, regardless of who the WR's are.

and for that reason alone you don't know why he didn't make the game day roster, you are guessing, feeding off speculation that the media is telling you. Do we really know why Jarrett was actually not on the gameday roster?

Maybe they didn't actually feel that Jarrett was the problem and were merely trying out other WR's to see if ANYTHING would work to save Jake and possibly the season.

by Joe Brown (probably another Panther fan)

March 18, 2010

Round Two: Damian Williams, USC (WR / 6'1" / 192)

Round Three: Jason Worilds, Virginia Tech (DE / 6'2" / 257)

Round Four: Linval Joseph, East Carolina (DT / 6'5" / 330)

Round Six: Marcus Easley, Connecticut (WR / 6'3" / 210)

Round Seven: Levi Brown, Troy (QB / 6'3" / 229)

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/364974-2010-nfl-draft-carolina-panthers-seven-round-mock

We cannot base every USC WR based on who we have drafted. So I hope Williams will be better than Jarrett or Colbert. I do think they get a bit overhyped since USC recruits so well. The players excel due to their natural ability then good coaching.

I saw Linval Joseph against Houston and this guy seemed to manhandle Houston's O-line. I do think his Combine numbers will boost him and will probably be gone before the last day of the draft. I like him and he would be an awesome pickup for Carolina. Especially at round 4.

Levi Brown is in the target area for our QB's. I think we will bring in a late round QB to push Cantwell for the 3rd spot. (assuming the veteran QB we bring in is Moore's competition)

I could see these picks.

Go Panthers
