Q: How do you think The Golden Calf of Bristol is doing dealing with the scrutiny?

“It’s fair to say, in my short time getting to him, he’s a guy who’s going to respond to that well.”

Q: What do you make of this new throwing motion?

“It’s kind of like my golf game, sometimes I tweak my swing some too.”

Q: Do you think some people have been too quick to dismiss The Golden Calf of Bristol?

“I don’t know that anyone has dismissed him by any stretch, you still have to look at his body of work.”

Q: What can you take away from watching workouts like these?

“We don’t have a lot of looks at ‘em as coaches. We just get to look at ‘em this time of year, so sometimes it’s our first exposure other than TV games along the way.”

Q: What did The Golden Calf of Bristol show you out there today?

“He doesn’t lack in the work ethic department, so whatever needs to be done he’ll do.”

Wow, that would mean his golf game is the complete opposite of his coaching philosophy!

Fox doesn't say much, but when he does speak, you can usually believe it. It all sounds pretty positive so far. Some people don't like The Golden Calf of Bristol, but I would actually be decently happy if we got him. He has the measurables and the immeasurables to succeed. He is needs a lot of work, but that's all stuff he can improve on and change with time (throwing mechanics, footwork etc,).

Would I prefer other players? Yeah definitely, but it's kinda silly to have your scope too narrow on draft day, especially for this team and your first pick is in the 2nd.

Think about it The Golden Calf of Bristol through the Jake Delhomme prism.

The Golden Calf of Bristol has similar, but better natural Leadership skills they obviously deem of high importance and a strong worth ethic. However, at this point in career he has more natural God-given talent than Delhomme ever did.

Delhomme was undrafted, NFL Europe guy they eventually turned into a Game Manager leader which Fox obviously Loved, through working at it. The Golden Calf of Bristol plans to work 14 hr days to become an NFL QB, and I have no reason to not beleive him.

I would not be the least bit suprised if they draft The Golden Calf of Bristol. He is a potential grand slam pick if he turns into a top 10 - 15 starting QB few years down the road. Gives Moore competition, let the best man win out....

From the Business side: The Golden Calf of Bristol sells Jersey's and brings the Panthers alot of National Media attention next season, and if The Golden Calf of Bristol works out it will be amplified big time down the road with National Media attention, Monday Night Football apparences, etc. ESPN will love the Panthers. Don't underestimate this calculation for whatever team draft's him.

Plus the Community thing, which The Golden Calf of Bristol would also be great with. He is everything you want in a QB, if he can develop that passing game. If the Panthers are ever going to gamble on a QB, The Golden Calf of Bristol is exactly the type they do it with. Especially if Richardson is playing to be good 3 seasons from now and we are rebuilding.

What if a Team gives a 2nd rounder for Marshall?

Would trading Marshall effectively for The Golden Calf of Bristol, be worth the gamble? What if they could get The Golden Calf of Bristol and Golden Tate in the 2nd round, by trading Marshall? Moving Godfrey and Martin around in the secondary and possibly signing a Free Agent CB?

I'm not sure The Golden Calf of Bristol falls past 2nd round. Too many intangibles at play, some team is going to take the gamble.

Fox and Hurney value christian moral's.. this guy is a saint. He is our's with our first pick. You know they will draft a QB early, because they aren't picking up a vet QB. It is seeming more and more likely we take him.. I don't think any of us will be THAT surprised if we draft him.

This right here is what scares me. I'm really, REALLY hoping a Florida team reaches for him before he falls into the "sound business decision" category for us. We're also almost perfectly set up for him, having a decent starter QB in place and a beastly running game.

:(

C'mon Jax, think of the ticket sales.
