Seattle didn't have a 3rd this year, so in order to get Whitehurst, they had to make a deal with SD.

Don't forget he's also had Ramsdell as his QB coach - who was also in that position during the Vermeil/Martz years in STL.

I am loving the moveup in the 2nd though ... now a Cody/Matthews combo could be more of a reality. As far as the 3rd in 11 goes, if it keeps up we may just have that whole round (ours, Jets, and Hawks)

I think he'll do well. You can't sit behind rivers and not learn anything. Plus he's had a handful of good QB coaches.
