Speaking from experience, the only thing money does is accentuate your character. If you were an a-hole before, now your a rich a-hole. If you think he was lazy before now with the big extension he's just gonna be rich and lazy. All he did was put up a front his first 7-9 games. After that its back to the same ole getting by with natural talent instead of hard work routine. His natural ability is still better than most peoples hard work and so he will still perform. But the people who play with him day in day out will notice and it is a cancer.

Ouch, you're in the minority there.

Actually, he's probably not. We had this discussion a while back, and from what I remember most folks said they were fine with him being gone and a healthy Kemo and Lewis manning the middle.

When both are healthy, they've been fine, and neither is a problem in the locker room.

The thing that really bothers me about Jenkins, is that he said he had to get out of Charlotte. While I agree that Charlotte may not be for everybody, Kris Jenkins is a millionaire who gets about 3 months out of every year to go and live anywhere he wants. How many of us have that kind of a choice in life?

It also bothers me that he could be every bit as good, or maybe even better than Albert Haynesworth, if he was willing to put in the work and actually earn all that money.

Ever heard of the salary cap there buddy?

Every team out there would like to have an All Pro at every position. This is not Madden Football. Please understand the economics of the game before you make more stupid comments.

No what's a salary cap? I didn't say we were going to go out and buy an All-Pro DT, I said it's what we need. Did anyone get my point? Hint: The point is not that I think the NFL is like Madden Football.

Jenk is a great player but as said before became a horrible person. I dont think I would have felt so happy about his situation if it was not for the comments he made mid season. I said it then and its happening now. They started to lose and now everyone is throwing people under the bus. Not even Farve is untouchable in NY.

Jenkins was a pro bowler in the beginning but has declined year by year. Last year he made no difference, we still got ran on. He was so big, sometimes it looked like people just ran past him. I think his attitude toward the team affected his play here. He's not dominate like a Haynesworth. He once was though

I'm glad we got rid of him. He become a problem

No poo that we would like an All-Pro DT. I would also like All-Pro CB, Safety, WR's, etc...

Fact is that we cannot afford both Peppers and a guy like Haynesworth together. You have to make sacrifices under the salary cap.

Part of the reason we got rid of Jenkins is that big DTs are noted for wearing down quickly. It's good to have a big DT early in his career, but hold onto him for more that about 5 years is a mistake imo. I mean Jenkins season ending knee injury occured from simply running at the QB untouched. This season with the Jets, Jenkin's back was giving him problems. My point is that we should get big DTs in their prime, and then get rid of them before injuries become a major problem.

We need to draft a DT who is like Jenkins in his prime. It's not a 'no poo' comment because not everyone agrees.
