During Fox's time with the Panthers, the franchise has never chosen a quarterback as early as the second round. Why would they make an exception for a guy many people think won't be able to play the position in the NFL?

Because he is a Fox-type of player, meaning, he is a team player and could be a good leader no matter what role he plays. I am not ruling it out completely, I just don't see him falling to the Panthers

every single year they predict we take a tight end

This very thing, even if it is in like the 3rd round on, irks me more than anything I ever read on a draft site or in a draft magazine...

Sure, I can't expect all these "experts" to know a team like we know ours, but damn... you'd think they would get a clue after it never happens...

However, Michael C. Wright of the Florida Times-Union tweets that The Golden Calf of Bristol's throwing motion may be new, but it's not necessarily improved: "Looks like The Golden Calf of Bristol worked out one kink and developed another. There's still a small loop & now a bit of a pause in motion. Mechanical looking."

The most honest assessment may have come from Ben Volin of the Palm Beach Post, who's live blogging Florida's Pro Day and wrote, "Delivery looks far from groundbreaking, but what do I know."

Indeed. What do any of us know?

FWIW, Michael C. Wright is a sports columnist, not an NFL talent scout. Plenty of those seemed to be impressed with him today. I think I'll take their word over his.
