I didn't say we would trade up for The Golden Calf of Bristol, I was just saying that the only way could possibly get The Golden Calf of Bristol is if we trade up because if Cleveland doesn't get Clausen or Bradford then it is quite possible that Cleveland will make a play for The Golden Calf of Bristol

For all those wondering how he did here's a pretty in depth report: http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/live-blog-The Golden Calf of Bristol-pro-day-at-florida-031710

Apparently he had a good showing and impressed alot of the scouts.

However, Michael C. Wright of the Florida Times-Union tweets that The Golden Calf of Bristol's throwing motion may be new, but it's not necessarily improved: "Looks like The Golden Calf of Bristol worked out one kink and developed another. There's still a small loop & now a bit of a pause in motion. Mechanical looking."

The most honest assessment may have come from Ben Volin of the Palm Beach Post, who's live blogging Florida's Pro Day and wrote, "Delivery looks far from groundbreaking, but what do I know."

Indeed. What do any of us know?

10:44 a.m. -- I can remember driving to Shelby, NC to visit Spikes and his mom after he signed with Florida. Mom lived in a nice, but little apartment, and was just beaming that her son had signed with the Gators. Spikes will most assuredly buy mom a house, and work to fund freeing his brother who he feels is falsely imprisoned for a crime. Spikes has always been a great leader at Florida and fantastic with the media when he had the chance. A real straight shooter.

10:35 a.m. -- No one seems to have a great sense of exactly how fast Brandon Spikes ran today. I've heard anywhere from 4.85 to 5.01. With his playing ability, anywhere in the 4.9s should guarantee him a place in the first round.

Spikes could fall to us if he ran that slow, would fox take? If so, how would he be used with our D? Move to DL? Run a 3-4 scheme? No chance, even if Spikes is best available at our pick?

big LB, hometown boy, leadership skills....but we have Beason

The Golden Calf of Bristol is a more talented version of Jake Delhomme at this stage in his career. Could definitely see them taking him.

Plus, think of the National Media and Jersey sales he brings next season. That is worth something to them on the Financial side atleast.
