Vasher out in Chicago

I think that he might be a good addition IF Marshall leaves, but right now we don't really need him. Gamble, Marshall & Cap holding down 1,2 & 3 WR's. Martin, Wesley and that new guy. Although I wouldn't mind it for training camp competion, if we did, I think he's stick, he has something to prove now.

Wesley isn't on the team anymore and Martin is a safety now.

again, i don't know why people are referring to him as a return specialist. he isn't one. sure, he had that miracle 108 yard return for a TD off of an errant FG attempt in hurricane force winds but aside from that he hasn't done much. he returned punts one year and only got 7.7 yards per return. he got one kick off return that went no where. he was never much of a factor on special teams and has only a handful of tackles.

he may have something left and if he comes cheap he might be worth a shot going into TC. maybe a change and getting back with chris harris would do him some good but he just has some issues in his head that needs to work out and he has to do what he hasn't been able to do the past three years....stay healthy. i'm not all that confident that he can do it.

  • 2 weeks later...

Chargers signed CB Nathan Vasher to a two-year contract worth roughly $4.5 million.

Vasher, 28, was once known as a game-changing, big-play corner, but has just three interceptions in his last three years and seems to have lost most of his speed. He'll compete with Donald Strickland to be the Bolts' nickel back.
