Also, you're talking about a guy who at that time didn't really have much of a target on his back for coaches and teams. I don't think they truly knew what to expect from him. They might have hyped him for a lil while back then but after all, we are the Panthers and especially then, no one paid any attention to us. Now 2008, he's what, the 1st or second highest paid DE in the league. I'm not making excuses for him. Merely stating what happens in the NFL or with all sports. Look at AP.
