If you think about it Jake's elbow injury was 2 blessings in disguise because it brought Vinny who got DeAngelo going in the right direction and it also let us see 3 games of Matt Moore. He might not have gotten to showcase his skills and he might be on another team right now if not for Jake's injury.

Deangelo was probably the happiest I was in the John Fox era of drafts. I really thought we would draft maroney that year. Thank God we didnt.

And I thank God we didn't get LenDale White either. Weren't the Panthers close to getting White, but then decide to get DeWill instead? I think White's poor shape & minor injury is why we pass on him. Again, Hurney may make some bonehead moves but he also done some good one with getting Williams, Stewart, Otah, Beason, etc.
