Marshall Skips Conditioning Program

Oh yeah, any of those teams would have given up a top 10 pick to pick up either player.

Raiders might have given a 1st for Davis, stranger things have happened.

Davis is a great talent. His performance was also rewarded with the highest tender. Moore is our starting QB now, can't risk him getting away.

nobody said it would be this years .. stranger things have happened .. jets got cromartie for their next years 3rd ?

RFAs are different. If you sign them to an offer sheet you have no control over the compensation, so if TD & MM were tendered at a 1st rounder and someone made them an offer, then the other team would have to give up THIS years picks.

point taken .. allow me to throw out a few more teams then 49ers ( 2 first rounders and piss poor qb's) Seahawks ( also 2 firsts .. crap QB's one decent LB )

If someone was willing to give up a first rounder for a player with a bum knee nearing the end of his rookie deal, the Panthers should take it.

You think the Panthers couldn't find a better QB in the first round that MM?

As it stands right now, none of the quarterbacks in the draft have proven they can win NFL games. Matt Moore has. It's as simple as that, really.

If we had taken Matt Moore with a first-round or maybe second-round pick, I think people would still feel he was worthy of the pick. If he were a bigger name, I don't think there would be any question he's our "franchise" quarterback.

But because he went undrafted and rode the bench three years, I think many folks are hesitant to annoint him just yet. That's fine, but he actually showed last season he can win games and play well -- that's something no quarterback in the draft has done yet.

Another player wanting to get overpaid. Not how you win super bowls. A player of his calibur CAN be replaced, younger and cheaper.

You could find a better QB than Matt in the draft. You could also find a bust, or worse.

The advantages in keeping Moore the starter far outweigh the risk of a bust. Matt has proven he can win, it would be illogical to move on to someone else before letting him start a whole season.

So one injury = bum knee ?

smh

lol yeah.. that's what people thought of Steve Smith after he broke his leg...then oh, watta ya know....triple crown.

Anyways, what needs to be said is said. But I will say this... I hope we keep Marshall for depth. He's talented.

At worst, knee injuries ruin careers, and at best, reduce a player's value in FA. TD wasn't worth the 1st and 3rd tender. No one was going to give up a first rounder for him.

I guarantee you that if I could find a comparable player on another team and asked this board if they would give up a first rounder for that player, very few on this board would be for it.
