My opinion of panthers ownership is plummeting by the hour

fug Peppers, he didn't want to be a Panther anyways. We'll do better without him.

I think we'll wait till after the draft to pick up the left overs. Peppers will be hard to replace but still....fug him.

You dont just dump a franchise player in his prime and replace him with nobody and more cuts and expect to be a better team, sorry dude.

Honestly, I think we're putting all of our chips in the draft.

We're gonna draft players on their skill or weather or not we think they can make a immediate impact.

How these rookies do on the team is how well we're gonna do. that's what I think, at least.

"If I could give scouts inc some pie I would. why does this come up every single day?? this team still has its core of young guys that will keep us together. I really don't are what the outsiders think. we aren't the Browns, Raiders, Bears, etc. we don't need to spend $80 million on free agents. just a few guys is all we really need. Most of the teams that do all the spending during free agency end up right where they picked off the previous year. at home"

a) Hello..Julius Peppers..he is no longer on the team

B) We have 0 starters from last season on the D-line returning

c) We have no 2nd or 3rd WR

d) We have no backup O-lineman

e) We have an unproven QB

f) We have no first rd draft pick

g) We have not backup LB's

Think some free agency money could have been spent, especially since we are saving what $17M from releasing one player

-Or at least keep peppers, could have signed him long term/franchised him if wanted

-All i am saying is put the money back into the team, just make an effort instead of looking like cheapskates

a) Peppers' leaving will hurt some games, but we all know there were games he disappeared. Overall, I'm hoping this is a push. Especially if Brown and Johnson can step up like I believe they will do.

B) Kemo was out and Lewis has never really impressed me, tbh. I'm hoping we retain #75 again this year, if for nothing else, to provide Vet leadership for the younger guys. Tank, Irvin, and the slew of other younger guys may be able to get it done. May not, but I'm betting we draft a DT in the third this year.

c) poo.. have we had one of those within the past 5 years? Honestly? Love Moose, but the FO felt it was time to let these younger guys step up. I want us to snag a WR with our first pick this draft year.

d) Calling BS on this one. The Dude did an admirable job filling in for otah when he was hurt, as well as Gross's replacement. With Magz at the wheel, this is the only area I have absolutely zero concern with. We will keep being able to pound the rock, never fear.

e) True to an extent, but in the limited time he's had to play, he's shown he can get the job done. I'd like to see us retain McCown, or find another solid Vet backup QB to mentor him. I am not wanting to see us pick up a QB in this draft. If Moore tanks, then get one with our first day pick next year.

f) So? Not that big of a worry to me, as a lot of stellar players come from the later rounds. Yeah, a lot of cuts come from there too, but with our scouting department, I'm not sweating this. They've had a good eye the past few years, and it's time they get to prove it by cutting the older vets like they've done.

g) Really? Are ya kidding me here? The loser of the SLB battle will be one of our backups. Providing they retain TD, we still have a hell of a LB corps.. Ivy would have made the team last year, but it was a numbers game. This is most definitely a strength of the Panthers.

How are we saving $17M by releasing? Jake? We still pay him.. Pep? He walked, not released. Not following your logic here. And Franchising Pep would have been the dumbest move ever for us. No one would have taken him off our hands, and we'd be even more cash-strapped once a new deal had been brokered. I have two Pep jerseys, and was still glad we didn't keep him. I wish him the best, so not a hate thing. Just an overall better business plan thing, imo.

Lastly, about the money back into the team: FA isn't even close to being over yet. hurney likes to wait and see what players become available. It's been his MO for years now. We don't overspend, and still get solid role-players that way. It's smart not to buy the item with the biggest hype when you shop. Or did you buy Beta when it came out way back when?

Hello..Julius Peppers..he is no longer on the team

[Pep did not want to play for us anymore. Point blank and simple. His salary would have crippled us from resigning the other FA's to long term deals.

We have 0 starters from last season on the D-line returning

Tyler Brayton could be resigned. Also when do you allow your young guys to play? The time is now. Louis, Hollis and Kemo were old and did not fit Meeks defense.

We have no 2nd or 3rd WR

Yeah, we don't but did i miss the draft. Are we done. WR will be addressed.

We have no backup O-lineman

Complete lie. We are one of the deepest offensive line's in the biz. How many teams in the league can lose both of their starting tackles and still protect the QB against the Vikings none the less.

We have an unproven QB

Are we the only NFL franchise that is doing that? Every year rookie QB's are drafted high and end up starting more often than not. ALL QB's START OUT UNPROVEN. This year alone Bradford, Kolb (maybe), Leinart, and Clausen will likely be trying to prove themselves.

We have no first rd draft pick

Somebody call the Wambulance. This is getting old. Everrette Brown was considered to be the TOP DE last year by many. His lack of size had him lower on draft boards but Meeks likes smaller DE's. I think E.Brown is gonna be a player.

We have not backup LB's

We don't huh? We have two 3rd rounders competing for a spot. Whoever does not win will be the first LB off the bench. Quinton Culberson started 11 games for the Rams as a undrafted FA. Jordan Senn has played in 17 games with the Colts.

Dude! All these chicken little's seem more like TROLLS to me than real fans. Yeah, i said it.
