how long are you allowed to brag about a superbowl victory?

I think until next year's superbowl makes the most sense.

Yeah, (and that's for WINNING) but Panthers fans saying "Panthers have been to a Superbowl and 2 NFC Championship games, yada yada yada", has been the most quoted post on this message board for YEARS.

See "SEARCH".

We will hear about the Saints and Bucs superbowls until we win one. You don't hear saints fans going on a Steelers site and bragging about their superbowl win. Steeler fans would simply retort, Only one??

We don't have any so you expect Saints and Bucs trolls to keep bringing it up. That the reality folks.

Honestly, I expect them to. I would do the same thing. I dont troll other sites but they have a reason to brag now.

actually it depends on the historical success of your franchise and what you do to follow it.

someone like pats fans can't brag about a single super bowl, but can brag about their mini dynasty. Fans of the Steelers can just be smug as poo. Dallas used to be able to, but no one even remembers when they last one won.

Saints fans will probably be analogous to Rams fans sooner or later. A historically bad franchise that's always been terribly run catches lightning in a bottle and has a brief 4-5 year long offensive explosion before settling right back in to their normal place in the top five of the nfl draft.

Right. Because our franchise qb is 31 with one of the best o-lines in the league in front of him, and our coach is 46. You really see the Saints falling off in the next 5 years?

I'm not saying we're going to win every SuperBowl, but I would love to know why you think the Saints are going to suck? Our "offensive explosion" started in '06, so it seems more like a 10 year run to me, at the very least.

Pats fans shouldn't brag about anything...they got caught cheating once, later in their 'dynasty'. Who knows how many other shady things they did to win. There is no way to know for sure the extent or who all was involved but just the fact it happened really discredits them and their 'dynasty' big time, IMO.

I'm not saying you are correct, im not saying you are wrong. The fact remains that the NFL is a very competitive league. If you think you can stay on top for 10 years then good for you but it is very unlikely that will happen. Do I expect you to be competitive for the next couple/few years? Yes I do.

normal for the saints over the past 20+ years would be around 7-9/9-7.
