Playstation Move

This is what Nintendo hoped the Wii could do when it was first developed. I'll admit I'm not huge on motion gaming but the possibilities for Move are pretty enticing.

(Move information starts around the 14 min mark for those interested)

(Warning the video is long since it's from a developers conference but some of the games definitely show off some pretty promising things. Motion fighters and the sports game look promising)

Also the bundle that comes with the eye is less then $100 so not too bad of a price either.

The problem is, if Nintendo releases a full hardware update to the Wii in the next year or so, Sony will still be playing catch up and will eventually have to abandon this. Should at least make for an interesting E3 since Nintendo is releasing its major titles before summer. Wonder what they have up their sleeves for the holidays?

The problem with Nintendo is the hardware doesn't work as well as it should. Wii motes don't do 1-1 tracking successfully and the Wii is not in HD which pretty much makes it obsolete to core gamers. The Move can and will do much more then the Wii and it will look a lot nicer as well. Unless Nintendo is planning on releasing a Wii-HD with a better tracking system then it's not going to beat out the Move. Nintendo designed their system so that people who have never played video games before could use it. Sony while hoping to reel some of these people in with the Move are still going to hit home with core gamers when it comes to motion control because they will offer the one thing the Wii and probably Natal can not, precision.

it's cool, but I really can't ever imagine playing this with any kind of specificity.

it's like that terrible ninja wii game. you would try to pull your sword and end up shooting yourself in the dick.

Thats exactly why people will be more likely to use the Move. The precision of the controllers is so far ahead of the Wii Motes it's absurd.

I just got the Move using my rewards points from my Sony credit card. I have to say I really am enjoying it. Got Killzone 3 to try it out on and the Move does a good job of detecting when you aim off screen. Not sure if you could use it competitively online though. Not to say it's got bad controls but it just feels so different. Give it time and you may be able to.

Any other games I should try it out on? I got two of the moves and one of the navigation controllers. Might start up Heavy Rain move edition soon.

    • I don't think Rodgers but probably not for the political reasons I bet a lot of posters are motivated by. I just think he is not the QB for the Panthers, at all.
    • Sun Devils just scored another TD on BYU, 14-0
    • It wasn't great but  the 2022 NYG won 9 of 16 games plus a playoff game. He had a 92.5 passer rating. 15 pass TDs 3200 yards, 7 rushing TD, 700 yards 6 fumbles 3 lost.  His first season he had 18 fumbles lost 11. Wow.  Anyhow he had problems in 2023 with injuries and didn't win poo before tearing his ACL. This year, no Barkley, not good, but you know.... these ACLs take a while and it was right and he throws right so pushes off of it.  I agree it doesn't hurt to let that guy compete cheap. You don't hand him the job like with Bryce or NYG with him.  When I look at what we have been saddled with, he doesn't look worse and has the physical advantage. So I don't get the umbrage given our situation. This "No we won't settle for anything less that the best" attitude and then taking Bryce Young was pathetic and I think that attitude brought us to where we are. That's where that poo gets you. Away from Mayfield, away from Darnold, even away from PJ - just to replace them with an inferior PJ.  At the same time I am not really advocating for the guy just looking at it objectively. It could be another guy with the same story. And yes the odds of him getting it are low but the numbers and performance from 2022 are for sure better than we see with Bryce even after a season of major propping him up with better players around him. Take a look don't take a look he fails or he doesn't fail...   to instead sit here and be happier with what we have is bullshit.
