Is Delhomme better than Quinn?

I didn't know that jake has signed anywhere yet. So why are we wasting time discussing who is better when it isn't even decided if he will actually join the Browns. Oh thats right, another opportunity for some posters to bash Jake even though he is no longer here. Get over all the hate. He is gone already. Let it go.

I'd rather see Jake as a starter than as a back-up wherever he goes. And I don't think it matters who's better, Cleveland needs a change up.

They need something drastic at the QB position. They've lacked in that position for years. I think they should get someone better than Jake. Wallace is good, but they should have someone else competing with him that isn't washed up.

Agreed they need better than Jake. But Jake at least provides better mentality at the posistion than they've had in years and for a rebuilding period that would be more helpful than what they have currently. A veteran starter, build up a few skill posistions around him, and groom a young QB for the future. Sure, you loose this season, but solidify the future. I could see them taking this route.

and a year ago people remarked if we dropped delhomme he would be pursued by so many other teams to start for him, and the browns are seriously debating whether to pick him up and that it doesn't necessarily mean he'll start for them if they do

That what happens in the NFL, you are only as good as how you played recently. Funny how much can change in an year or even a few weeks.

Fixed.

lulz. the only reason jake has had the success that he's had here is because of steve smith and our ridiculous running game... not to mention the stout defense we had here for so many years. if he goes to cleveland and they don't have enough play makers in place, they're still gonna suck just as much as last year, if not, worse. brady quinn is still their best option, jake would serve as a good backup/mentor for quinn, but would hate himself if he went to new orleans as a backup to brees... there'd be no point for him to be there because brees is never gonna get injured. and brees definitely doesn't need mentoring.

Jake as a started? If the system he has been in for years (not to mention the loyalty he enjoyed here) decided he was no longer their best chance to win that should tell the rest of the league something. It's not that I don't want him to move on it just doesn't make sense that people think he suddenly is back to his pretty decent old self. There is something definitely wrong with him and it's more than in his head.
