Matt Moore says 'youth movement' no excuse

I'm glad he talked about working hard and practicing hard, He is saying the right things and pointing out areas where he plans on concentrating in order to gain the respect of his teammates by being a role model and leader in everything he does. If he becomes the hardest working guy in the offseason workouts, he will begin to turn his words into action.

So he signed a whopping 1 year deal? The Panthers operate in an entirely different way than most teams do. Could turn out fine IF he bombs. IF he is what you HOPE he can be then where does it leave you? In a bidding war with other teams needing a QB. Lock him for 3-5 years.

Yes sign him to a long term deal like you did Delhomme....

At least Delhomme was somewhat proven at QB.

And as Law said you leave yourself in a possible bad sitation. Moore has already recently stated he and his wife love Carolina and that was/ is there first choice.

We have to draft/sign a stellar #2 for Moore's sake. Smitty will get doubled all year, and if someone can't step up (I have little confidence in the rest of our current WRs), we'll be putting too much pressure on Double Trouble. They'll be dead by the end of the season. We need someone to fill Moose's shoes and then some. Give Matty a solid #2 and things will be sitting pretty.

Surely that's our 2nd round pick. Has to be. ::crosses fingers::

I hope we use our second rounder, maybe a fourth rounder, and pick up a veteran or two. For me you bring Moose back as well on a 1 year deal as insurance given that his blocking and leadership alone would more than justfy using a roster spot on him. Maybe he can have Lloyd's spot if we don't go kickoff specialist this year.
