the game on 8/24 is a massive one with a team we're looking up at in the standings. Great time to go for anyone with any remote interest.  It's time to make a big push, and this is a big one to kick it off.  Hopeful that Ream has plenty left in the tank (and Privett being available to spell him/keep him fresh and learn from him is awesome), and it's sick to have a contributing US MNT player on our roster.

As far as Biel--if he had been the first name we heard we probably would have been fine with it. Instead we spend entire transfer windows lauding fans with what ifs that never materialize. It's exhausting.  But I trust Dean and I hope we can gel and have a nice stretch run here. Hosting a playoff MLS game would be an amazing atmosphere.

excellent get right game, just sucks that we put ourselves in position for it to be a must win. I don't love building important roster spots in the stretch run, but if we gel now it's better than the alternative

Good win tonight though a 4-1 win would have been nice for the GD rather than a 4-3 win.

Unfortunately all the teams in front of us won so a home playoff game looks unlikely but if we could get to 6th so that we avoid Miami until the conference finals that would be nice.

Still think we move out of 7th. Also I came crazy close to smashing a massive cltfc parlay tonight.

When in think about it, I hate that the end of the MLS season/decision day and the playoffs are sandwiched right on an international window. Swiderski finally hitting form and he’ll be going away to Poland. Ream playing well at LB and he’s with USMNT…here’s hoping they come out healthy because right now, we’re a force and peaking at the right time

We have played well against cinncy and Columbus this year I think I'd rather finish 6th or 7th to avoid Miami till a potential ecf.  I agree I hope the layoff doesn't hurt because the attack has been playing really well

      So the big time media football draft sources and the Panthers all had Bryce Young high on their draft boards, but every other team knew he was terrible and had him ranked low???? Come on now.  Also, some of these sites actually do a really good job of predicating the top players so although they might not have access to every teams  big board, their list turns to be very accurate.   As far as fans knowing better than scouts it happens.  Let's be honest it's not an exact science.  In reality, everyone is wrong more than they are right.  Some of these fans that were so sure about Stroud were the same that were so sure about Fields.    Were there some scouts that didn't like Young, I'm sure, but here again its not crazy to think he was the top QB on a lot of team's boards.  Fans scout based on stats, measurables, and usually YouTube highlight tape.  Based on that Stroud felt like a no brainer.  Throw in the game against GA and Stroud really looked good.  Unfortunately for us scouts watch all the games.  Young had some really good tape.  The fact teams thought that high of him at that size tells you his tape was really good. Also, I do agree with you somewhat that sometimes fans are as good as teams at drafting.  Just look at the results, teams aren't great.  I think at times you could throw darts and be about as good.  With that being said I don't think fans are as good as they think they are, it's always easy to be correct in hindsight.
