In my two round mock I ended up having the Panthers take....

on another messageboard we do a series of mocks where every team's most knowledgeable fan takes over. In this mock we can't do trades since it's just the warmup. In the next one, the major one, I've already traded Richard Marshall for James Jones and the Packers' second.

In this one, I ended up taking CAM THOMAS, DT UNC

I figure our run defense is just as glaring a problem as our number 2 receiver problem. I briefly flirted with Ford or Shipley here, but figured Thomas was the better value. Here's how the draft has broken down so far.

First Round

1 St. Louis Rams Ndamukong Suh

2 Detroit Lions Gerald McCoy

3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers Dez Bryant

4 Washington Redskins Sam Bradford

5 Kansas City Chiefs Eric Berry

6 Seattle Seahawks Russel Okung

7 Cleveland Browns C.J. Spiller

8 Oakland Raiders Brian Bulaga

9 Buffalo Bills Jimmy Clausen

10 Jacksonville Jaguars Derrick Morgan

11 Denver Broncos(from Chicago) Joe Haden

12 Miami Dolphins Sergio Kindle

13 San Francisco 49ers Trent Williams

14 Seattle Seahawks(from Denver) Earl Thomas

15 New York Giants Rolando McClain

16 Tennessee Titans Brandon Graham

17 San Francisco 49ers(from Carolina) Mike Iupati

18 Pittsburgh Steelers Dan Williams

19 Atlanta Falcons Jason Pierre-Paul

20 Houston Texans Kyle Wilson

21 Cincinnati Bengals Arrelious Benn

22 New England Patriots Ricky Sapp

23 Green Bay Packers Charles Brown

24 Philadelphia Eagles Anthony Davis

25 Baltimore Ravens Jermaine Gresham

26 Arizona Cardinals Taylor Mays

27 Dallas Cowboys Nate Allen

28 San Diego Charges Ryan Mathews

29 New York Jets Carlos Dunlap

30 Minnesota Vikings Patrick Robinson

31 Indianapolis Colts Golden Tate

32 New Orleans Saints Sean Weatherspoon

Second Round

33 St. Louis Rams Colt McCoy

34 Detroit Lions Devin McCourty

35 Tampa Bay Buccaneers Brian Price

36 Kansas City Chiefs Brandon Spikes

37 Washington Redskins Bruce Campbell

38 Cleveland Browns Kareem Jackson

39 Oakland Raiders Terrence Cody

40 Seattle Seahawks Lamarr Houston

41 Buffalo Bills Demaryius Thomas

42 Tampa Bay Buccaneers(from Chicago) Everson Griffen

43 Miami Dolphins Maurkice Pouncey

44 New England Patriots(from Jacksonville) Jared Odrick

45 Denver Broncos Brandon Lafell

46 New York Giants Geno Atkins

47 New England Patriots(from Tennessee) Toby Gerhart

48 Carolina Panthers Cam Thomas

This is a hard draft for the Panthers.

yeah i'm a unc alumnus and i'm not sure cam thomas is good enough for a second round pick.

we're loaded at DT, why pick a DT with your first pick?

DE, yes. WR, yes. OLB, yes. even CB. but why DT?

yeah, we're loaded at DT. both of our starters have been to multiple pro bowls and or back ups are the best in the league....NOT. DT is a Huge need. DE isn't because we have young talent that are ready to become starters in the NFL, although depth is needed at DE. DT is #2 need to me. our starters are probably louis leonard and ed johnson... yes, they are good, but we don't have anyone worth mentioning. tank tyler showed he can be a good 2nd string DT, but not a starter..yet. I think we should go WR in the 2nd, then DT in the 3rd.

We aren't loaded at DT, but what I think he meant was, that we have depth. There are other position's where we have no depth that warrant the pick over the DT position.

hahaha..."we're loaded at DT"

Arthur Jones' brother, Jon Jones, who fights in the light heavyweight division of the UFC, is a badass man! He should be undefeated right now, but he was DQ'd for using illegal elbows to the face.
